They're dirt cheap over here, though may not be in the land of the free, but the old hope big'un hubs were a cool design, used bigger bearings , took a 20mm axle, came in 36 hole and build strong. They use a bespoke 5 bolt mount, but you can still get the rotors from hope, or just laser cut your own (bigger?) ones.

Im no expert, but id guess most of the braking comes from the wind resistance, dragging the tail skid, etc? I would have thought 2x 200mm rotors with decent brakes and metal pads would be fine, the pads will get hot, but they wont be working for long enough for the heat to transfer into the caliper and oil.

I was wandering around the park yesterday and there were more people playing pokemon, than werent, utterly mental.

Also some little twats going round shouting 'AV FOUND A FOOOOOKIN PIKACHU!!!!' from bushes, so there would be a nerdy stampede in their direction and then they'd hurl a load of abuse about 'sad fucking wankers' before running off... touche.

The clips on these are shit, set them up (make sure they're definitely straight) drill a hole just in front of the grey handles, pop a nut and bolt through and you can smash out the mad watts without them slipping and going wonky.

I kind of struggle to see how a phone screen can fling out enough light to cure resin quickly and accurately enough, when our little sla machine uses some sort of death laser and still takes a while... Cool if it does work though.

Ta, had it for mths but somehow not got round to riding it, spokes, brake adapters, heli tape, etc getting in the way. Felt guilty riding it in the shit anyway, probably get out on it next week all being well.

Have any of you rode Dalby Forest? If so, is it any good?

The regular route is good exercise and weatherproof, though never been much of a fan. Week or two back a mate took me round some of the off piste stuff there.... that's lairy as fuck, properly steep and techy, absolute polar opposite to the trail centre. I dont know if i could find any of it again mind...
