The Bike Shop / Re: is anyone still making 7075 stems?
« on: March 13, 2016, 08:39:46 AM »
I completly understand 6061 is affordable. When forged properly its plenty strong bla bla blah...

But my problem is that if feels rubbish during 1st installation. ALWAYS. Soft and potato like.
Newschool design with shorter and shorter bolts arereally too short for 6061 (threads will die sooner or later).
Then BAM BAM BAM  threads are really dying too fast. even w/o overtigtening.
6061 stems are for 50kgs kids ONLY. Terrible!

Who is still making solid 7075 topload stems?

I think you do something wrong

What's the problem with the logo on the chest? I do like the Champion logo compared to other sports brands. What I don't like about Gildan is that their clothes get wider when you size up but not really much longer. So if you don't have a long upper body like I do you're perfectly fine.

I started riding 5 years ago, saw an ad of Björn Elvering doing a handrail with some 4pc bars, I had no idea what they were called. When I found the WTP Everlites only I immediately bought them. Been riding 4pc ever since.

That Supra is awesome.

@BilboBaggins: Why in hell would you want that pickup to sit so incredibly high? And those tires?

Just get the gong then?

Eclat have a nylon version of it now anyway.

The Gong is incredibly expensive!

What about the G-Sport Uniguard??

Doesn't work with female 10mm bolts, does it?

None of the Primo cone nuts will work with the blind. The blind cone nut acts as a seal as well as it seats inside the driver mech, and is quite different in size to any of the cone nuts primo offers.

Are you 100% sure? Because the cone nut for the Blind that comes with the Eclat Gong hubguard looks pretty similar.

Did anyone try to put the Primo Plastic DSG with the cone nut on the Eclat Blind hub? Or could anyone at a shop try it out for me? Thanks guys!
