Brooklyn that ECR is awesome. You planning a tour?
Leaving in less than a week. Me and a small group of friends are touring from the lower portion of Morocco to Malaga. Planning on going through the Atlas mountains, some of the Sahara, and a few national forests.

Sounds fucking awesome. You got a blog/instagram/facebook to document this on?

Ahh have an urge to go on another bike tour.

EDIT: ok ive started planning again. I have a few questions.

1. anyone have any experience with ortliebs warranty on panniers? The clips broke on mine and the whole plastic bracket actually came off on one side. They were bought in March so theyre not that old.

2. Chainrings. My last ones were some obscure french ones and seemed to be made of shit aluminium. Wore away super fast although lubing them with olive oil when i was in a bind in the middle of nowhere probably didnt help. Steel ones would be nice and I need them to fit on a triple. Surly?

3. Dynamo lights. Recommendations on a front and rear set to be used with a Shimano DH-3N70. I also use a Supernova The Plug 3 topcap usb thing so if I can switch betweeen lights and usb charger that would be awesome.

4. Huge bottle cages. Something that can fit a 1.5 or 2 litre bottle. Dont give a shit what they look like but id like them to be sturdy. haha.

The Bike Shop / Chrisking hub conversion
« on: September 15, 2015, 07:08:42 PM »
So I have a set of Chrisking ISO hubs for a downhill bike. They're 150 x 12 thru axle with a 20mm thru axle on the front. Can I convert them to non disc hubs with 135mm rear spacing and bolt on axles?

Would I be better off just getting a different set of hubs or is it economically viable to buy the parts and swap them out?

Fuckin Sayers are making 1300 dollars a day in Oregon.

Sawyers?

Tree cutters.

People whose job it is to cut trees for a living.

1300 a day?! fuck this lab bullshit I'll go cut down trees

We were making good money at it after storms and shit. Work a 2 man team from 8am-8pm cutting up fallen trees from peoples driveways and hauling it away and go home with €400-€800 each. Extra few hundred after a few weeks when all the firewood and mulch sells.

I went from Cherbourg all the way to Malta. I can't really suggest routes but if you have any questions regarding other things fire away and I'd be happy to answer them.
