La Harve or Cherbourg?

Personally I'd probably manage it in 12 days. Thats 10 days riding and 2 rest days. But I won't be the one setting the pace.

Funny enough I've been reading up about cycling in Paris and it sounds to be a nightmare. I've become not so fond of it myself. I'm starting to think about sticking to the France/Belgium border.

Three of us are planning on riding to Bruges this summer, so could combine part of that with you all if the dates and route work out. Theres supposed to be a nice route up the coast from Calais.

That would be sweet. What are your plans? Roadbikes and camping?

Would be cool to head south west from London, through the Surrey Hills then along the coast via Hastings to Dover.

Bear in mind I'm just looking at a map here so i have no idea if these places are desirable. Would be cool to visit the white cliffs area though.

Possible route 1:

This is just to get an idea of what i'm thinking. I think we should try to begin and end in the same place to ease logistics. In this case Calais.

What would you guys like as a route? I'm open to suggestions.

I was thinking using London as a start point then getting the ferry or eurotunnel to Calais.

We could go east via Belgium and Amsterdam/Germany or south to Paris and southern France.

I'll plan a few possible routes when I get home.

Sold my tahoe an hour ago and now have 8600 to spend on a little econobox for my wife. Any suggestions? She's looking at honda fits.

Loved mine. I had the 2004 1.5 VTEC GD3. Used it for commuting and hauling shit in the back with the fold down seats. Was pretty good for camping too. I slept in the back for about a week when we went to the rally of the lakes. Comfy

Never had a problem with it bar the EGR valve went but I managed to salvage one from a crashed one in a scrapyard.

Get locking wheelnuts as the 4x100 alloy wheels tend to go missing as they fit on 80s and 90s Civics.

They are pretty slow though and the roof leaks sometimes in heavy rain.

Anyone want to do a BG euro bicycle tour?

Edit for more info: I'm thinking like a multi country job with a few people, wild camping and what not. Weather depending of course. Nothing wrong with seeking sheltered accommodation.
People who couldn't make the full commitment can join for a few days if they want.

Summer 2016 maybe.

Did you get to drive the scraper? I hear they don't do too well on soft ground

My Surly LHT needs a rebuild. :( I've also managed to wear completely through the rear rim sidewalls.

So I've started working weekends as a scuba diving instructor. Pretty much teaching people the basics in an indoor pool cause its not the time of year for offshore diving. Had a girl loose her bikini top while on the bottom today and had to help her get it back on. Saw tits. Got paid. Was sweet.

Brooklyn that ECR is awesome. You planning a tour?
Leaving in less than a week. Me and a small group of friends are touring from the lower portion of Morocco to Malaga. Planning on going through the Atlas mountains, some of the Sahara, and a few national forests.

Sounds fucking awesome. You got a blog/instagram/facebook to document this on?
Not really. The only electronics we're bringing is garmins and a film camera. I'll post some cool flicks on here once I digitize them if anyone is interested.

Im interested. And jealous
