3000 miles with an exposed timing belt and itb's with no filter? i'll pass on that.

still a sweet car

You are saying you would pass on a drift ae86 weighing 1500lbs because of exposed gears and filterless ITB's? It's a fucking race car. Surely it doesn't get driven on the street... NO WAI!

My car was, i have since grown up and realised that it was stupid and fucking dangerous, especially seeing as my rear springs weren't captive and i drove like a fucking asshole.

Get some decent shocks and cut your bumpstops.

Please tell me thats lowered properly with either coilovers or shortened struts, shortened shocks and real springs, not sitting on the fucking bumpstops.

If that is on the bumpstops, then MASSIVE fail.

I was going on about some cars sounding like a retarded kid having a fit in the Automotive hotness thread.

Your car is exactly what I mean.

And unless you can record it with the engine under load, no one will believe you that it doesn't. And under load i bet it sounds like a school full of retarded kids having fits.

The original R8 was butchered out of the factory, that's what it should have looked like.

And those VW's look nice, and i'm sure they go hard as shit.
But they still sound like a retarded kid throwing a fit.

I'm glad the 4CYL's are gone. They all sound like a retarded kid throwing a fit.

While I agree it doesn't exactly seem fair, you have to remember that Holden is owned by GM.  They are notorious for making dumb decisions.  Why they too so long to bring the Astra over here still boggles my mind.  Even after we get our version of it, it's not near as good as the European one.  Why NA gets the shaft on good cars has never made sense to me.  I'm sick of boring, slow, uninspiring cars.  We should have got the real STi's long ago, as well as the Civic Type R, Astra OPC/VXR, and the real EVO.  We get all the watered down versions.

And that's why new cars are ghey, and Fords from the Clevo era are pure win. Fix anything on them with an adjustable spanner and get some monstrous torque from fuck all work.

Plus GM's ideas of replacing technology and R&D with displacement and blowers is just utterly retarded. We are in a world where fuel consumption is a big thing, who the fuck wants a supercharged 6.2L V8 in a car that is supposed to be driven every day, when they could get a European car thats twice as good on fuel with comparible power for a little bit more money? They also don't know how to make cars turn.

Now i'll get onto V8 Supercars Australia. Utterly retarded racing series which should be scrapped in favour of something which actually has some relevance to the street cars. Yeah, VE's and FG's running control brakes, front and rear suspension setups, soon to be control chasis and they both run 5L's. The people that run this series are a bunch of fucking retards.

Every time i think about it, it gets more and more fucking ridiculous. Why the fuck doesn't the country that designed and produced the car (excluding the engine, however Tom Walkinshaws company did the blower setup) get the best models. Fuck it, Australian Automotive died with the introduction of Chevrolet badges on Commodores and Fords refusal to make a decent V8 after the 351.

Stoked on this, 2009 Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S

Pretty amusing how the countries the car is imported to get better models than we do here. A production Walkinshaw supercharged VE GTS?

You know what else is hot? the puddle of transmission fluid underneath my car last night. There goes my car :(

Trans is an easy fix.

Unless the car is Euro, then i'm sure they put something there to make it an absolute cunt of a job.
