Dished my back wheel a little bit. Replaced my tube. Chinked like 50 curbs.

Damn! Really? They look pretty beefy.

Yeah but I'm sure they know this so there warranty program is probably good on it. I would look into a Brian Foster stem!

Is your vandero2 messed up already?  If not, just leave it, mine is still going strong.

Yeah mines fucked..

A dremel with a thin cutting disk will cut through threads without damaging them or leaving any ragged edges, like sawing or snipping them would. You may need to tap the threads longer too.... in which case its probably worth just buying the correct length spokes in the first place. One spoke at a time should work too.

OK good to know. There odyssey spokes and my wheels are odyssey so I feel like they will fit. When I buy spokes do they come with nips? In the picture there were nips on the spokes.

The Bike Shop / Overhauling my wheels

So both my wheels are getting pretty trashed and I have a few questions. I saw some close out spokes on Odyssey's store so I was thinking about picking them up. How do I cut them to length? Also I don't want to pay a bike shop to rebuild my wheels so is it a bad idea to take one back spoke out at a time and replace it with a new one? Then true it at the end?

My second question, I know some people had some problems with vandero 2's getting wobbely and having shit bearings. Is it worth it to replace the bearings and cones and just rebuild that wheel too?

Thanks guys!

Did a smith before work and the front wheel came loose, when I got home I found out that the axle is stripped. Gotta put my shitty Vandero wheel back on....

I wanna trim my front axle down since I'm using an older wheel for the time being. Never trimmed axles, is it just a matter of hacking the excess off and filing down the ends?

Installed my new pegs and hubguard. And put my old 48h Araya front wheel on since my vandero wheel has shit the bed.

Walked my spare up to the gas station to put air in the tires since my electric compressors valve ripped :mad2: and blew the tube up since the spokes were poking through the rim strip...

Forgot where it was, then remembered its in the garage. I don't like keeping it in the garage since I share the garage with about 5 other people in the apartment.
