The Bike Shop / Re: Surly Cross Check Build

That bike is a hot tranny. Sure, it is hot at first glance but then you start to notice is a little off, then way off. Hopefully before you're riding it.

HAHAH  I'm dying

Also, not pictured in that group is my 2014 Barcode.  21" TT, welded on mounts and in the Bikeguide Barcode color preference of red.

I just can't decide on what I want to build.  The Wessel would be a bit newer for the parts I have to build a frame up.  They are more sort of from the time frame of the back two frames.  Not specifically trying to do an era correct build.  But at the same time, I only want to build the son of a bitch once.

I'm trying to lighten up the load a bit.  My goal was to build up a few of the frames I'd acquired into some cool bikes.  I am pretty much there.  Trying to get rid of the rest of the stuff I know I won't ever use.  Been sorting through crap in my garage the last few days (hence my abuse of instagram feeds everywhere).

Posted this up on Vital, but I figured I'd share it here as well.   I am willing to part with a few of these guys.  Green Barcode (sort of in the middle) and Red Wesselcode are already sold.  Raw Wesselcode (enormous testicles sticker) not for sale, NOS Barcode in the back NFS.  Everything else is fair game and I am willing to take offers.  The lighter green frame towards the back is a V1 Progression.  Send me an email if you are interested, I always seem to miss PM's.  Bobbyridesbikes at gmail

The Bike Shop / Re: Fly Manual vs. Odyssey Springfield brakes

Yea, Evo II is the best of those three.  Never rocked a Fly, but I have rode Springfields. They work, for sure.  Not trying to take away from the Springfield, but Evo II is just a lot nicer to work on/dial in.

Moral of the story, if you hate to work on your bike and just want it to work I would vote Springfields.  If you know how to use an allen wrench and a 17mm, Evo II.

The Bike Shop / Re: BURLY JAM JUNE 13TH
« on: May 11, 2015, 02:30:07 PM »
Throw back to one of the jams we had back in 2005.  Hoping to get one from 2006 and 2007 made before the jam comes.  Maybe more if I have time.   But, just my luck, turns out my wife got a new job and I'm moving probably the week before the contest to a town an hour and a half away.  So, we will see.

Jam is still on!!!

Cant be as bad as the facebook groups im in where kids try trading stock frames for high end stuff, or the kids that dont know anything about the parts theyre selling.

Those are THE BEST.  "Looking to trade this BMX for a nice Vape"  HAHAHAHA.  What the fuck is wrong with the childrens!?!?

I stopped trying to use FB to buy/sell shit.  Burned twice on there by dudes who still continue to post shit up for sale.

Not sure the exact distance.  There is a narrow road that runs near the skatepark that could probably fit 3, possibly 4 wide drag races.  I bet the distance is close to 75-100 yards if I had to guess.  Long enough to top out on normal gearing but short enough that you can probably sprint the entire time.
