You just fucked up if you just bought a new frame.....  Because a dude is selling this COMPLETE BRAND NEW CUSTOM BUILD for $650, shipped.   WTF, hell of a deal.

Not to discredit CMC's science and mathematics....  But just like Bunky said, there is a lot of things you can do to a frame to change the way it feels.  Yes, trying to find suitable frame geometry to fit your likings is one of the first steps.  But by no means is it the final step.

I currently have a Model C and a Wave C built up.  The two are completely different.  My Model C is something I more enjoy riding on dirt/jumping where as the Wave C was something I built up for doing more jibbing and grinding in mind.  These two bikes have the exact same bottom bracket height, which is something that seems to be getting too much attention in the comments in this thread.  The two bikes feel WORLDS apart, simply on how I have them set up.

Wave C is a slammed rear end, as many stack washers that can fit on an uncut steer tube under a Sunday Freeze top load stem with the 7.75" rise Sunday bars, Odyssey tires and Hazard Lite rims.  The Model C has the axle hanging out of the back of the drop outs, a shorter stack height (maybe 3-5mm) and the 7.25" Sunday bars, Intense MKIII folding tires and Quadrant rims.  The main difference in geometry between the Model C and the Wave C is pretty much just in rear end length, all other angles are the virtually the same.  (Now that I think of it, I think the Model C is an 13.75" bb and the Wave C is a 13.8" but I am not 100% on that at the moment)

It is really crazy how different the two bikes feel from one another.  The wheels alone change how everything rides.  I would even go as far as saying the exact same set up with the different wheels would drastically change how the bike feels just from the rotational weight.  For a while I only had one 24" built up which happened to be the Wave C frame.  At the time, I was a lot more into riding dirt jumps and cement parks, so I had the bike set up similar to my Model C as far as the bar height and rear end length.  It felt exactly what I was after ride feel wise, essentially just like my original Model C's set up.

I think it is also worth noting that I am the same hight as Cullen (CMC4130) and have ridden his Liquid.  Once again, not to discredit anything he is bringing to the conversation..... but I really didn't enjoy the way his Liquid was set up.  The front end felt too tall and the ass end felt saggy.  PLEASE realize that this is my personal riding preference and I completely respect and understand other people like other/different set ups.

Moral of my story...... I really enjoy a low bb on my 20" bikes.  11.5" feels great on all types of terrain.  But whenever I ride a 24" that has a lower BB than my Model C/Wave C it simply doesn't really do it for me.

I hope somewhere in this mess of my ongoing disagreements with Cullen's bike set ups (LOL) that you an find some sort of help in what you are after.

in a normal case where the frame cost hasn't increased for some other reason, the retail price of the frame goes down when the brake stuff is no longer included.  example:  the retail price of Fit and S&M frames dropped $15.00 when they started no longer including the brake stuff

T-1 and Federal, from what i recall, raised their wholesale prices.  so, subtract the brake stuff but increase frame costs means the frame retails for the same price without brake stuff as it did in the past when it included brake stuff.  i'm not sure why that is confusing

brake shit isn't free because it doesn't cost the brands $0.00 to have it produced.  if anything, if brands are ordering fewer brake mount kits, they might actually be paying more (per kit) for them now than in the past

I hear what your saying, Flybikes have kept their prices the same with them not including brake accessories yet T1 opted for this route by not including them yet their prices have risen, the Ruben and Hickerson are made in the same factory as Fly ? I doesn't make sense it just shows me they wanted to increase their price and offer less if you will.

Edit: With the brake mount kits if I were them I'd ordered the same amount to keep the cost the same and just sell them separately, that way their not losing anything.

You should probably send your application to T1.  Sounds like you got this bicycle company thing figured out.

Wait, they are selling the brake accessories separately now, why ?

They say to keep the cost down but the prices are the same as all the other past frames with the accessories, more moola...

The trans green and blue look trick though.

many riders don't use brakes, so we remove the brake mounts and sell them separately to those who want them

the dealer cost of the frames increased.  if we still included the mounts with the frames, the cost of the frame to the consumer would have increased

Yea, but how much?

Call me blasphemous, but I feel like Terrible 1 stopped being Terrible 1 when Taj left.

I get why they had the push to the foreign made frames, bars, and sprockets, though.  It's just too damn hard to get a reliable production company in the US.

Anybody that has the ability to make quality bmx parts in the US ends up making something else that has much better margins.

I would rather call you snuggly.  I can see where some of this opinion could be validated if you are over the age of 30.  I will agree that my favorite T1 related shit is from back in the day when it was both Joe and Taj working on stuff together.  But to me it comes down to the fact that Terrible One will always be Terrible One.  With as man green boxes as those mother fuckers acquired over the years, you gotta get a shit ton of red ones to even begin to start tarnishing their reputation.

Maybe I just brainwashed myself with all of their zines.

Man, it's obviously just me, but that dude is not a pleasure to watch. Hes got some cool stuff and that promo should show the ability to go backwards, it just seemed rushed and unpolished.

that was also my first impression with a random barspin

Finally saw the video.  You guys are fucking crazy.  That had some really good backwards clips.  If you want to talk shit on the guy, tell him to get a hair cut or something.  Or to not ride green tires.  But I was pleasantly surprised with a bunch of clips in this video.

Hater's gon hate.

Also, props to Eclat for actually putting out a product related video when their product will actually be available.  All of the #comingsoon bull shit is for the birds.
