Yeah, they're borderline in the front with the Race axle and pegs. I wouldn't even consider it in the rear.

You could have a Profile chromoly axle cut, drilled, and tapped for bolts. But with the price of the axle, it could even cost less to have one made out of 4130 stock.

I'm sure he could. It's 17mm at the ends and 14mm in the center. 14mm thick aluminum is just not enough for pegs. The early Fly axles tapered to 15mm in the middle from 17 and they broke a lot. You've got 2 good options there. Chromoly axle the size of the stock one with 17mm outer and 14 or 15mm inner, or 17mm aluminum all the way through. I'd suggest 3/8x24 either way. With 17mm 7075 all the way through you'd have the axle strength of the Vandero 2.

What's wrong with the hub though?  Any Profile shims should fit, the hubs all use the same size bearing ID I believe.

Wrong section, this should be posted in the Bike Shop.

I put Profile internals in a friend's Graffiti Pilot shell, but I think there may have been a difference on the v1.  If the hub had shims, chances are it needed them and you should contact Profile for more.  Also, I believe there should be a shim/spacer between the driver and shell bearing - or the driver will rub the shell and the outer race of the bearing will bind.

you don't know until you take chances. as it stands it would seem as though it is collecting dust. i know i hadn't had the chance to add anything recently.

most would likely not even bother to add/edit.

others may have some decent input that can then be left be or edited to refine/clarify/etc

with a couple mods to help keep it clean/sound i can see it greatly improving as it is a resource tool made for the masses by the masses.
