Still have the stranger frame?

Also: does it have brake mounts?

Same spacers.

When I measure the spindle, the one is longer than the other.

Which explains it. But they are BOTH 113mm spindle.

I wish there was a way I could tighten the arms from both sides.

Pedal snapped off my cranks on Sunday, so I bought new ones. Didn't feel like putting too much effort into the whole thing, so I bought the same cranks (updated ones).

The spindle reads 113mm so I bought the new ones in the same exact 113mm size but they don't fit the same as the last pair.

There is 2mm of slack in spindle when I slide them on.

How could this be? They are the EXACT SAME cranks?

The cranks are e*thirteen "the hive" xcx.

I will post pics if my discription doesn't make sense.

Thanks in advance!

Look at this on eBay:

Half the cost of what it would run you to build one up.

On eBay right now cheap.

Get up on it son!

I greased the wheel and the noise is gone. Butter.

I still can't tighten up the slack. It's a full quarter pedal which is a bit much.

I use a 2.5 mil Allen key and the adjustable nut won't tighten.

I may have to take it apart to investigate.

Greased it up and so far it sounds like the harsh clicking noise has stopped.

Thank you.

However, when I greased it, the slack moved all the way back to its original position. I had it tightened up to feel more like a cassette.

Why did it move without loosening it?

What kind of grease should I use?  WD 40 ruins sealed bearings, and regular grease is as think as marshmallow. Any recommendations?

Thanks for your help everyone.

Freecoaster is new
Chain is new
Sprocket is brand new

The sound is coming from inside he hub.

I know spraying WD-40 inside the hub will destroy it. But is there an actual lubricant I can spray into the slack adjusting hole to grease the hell out of the hub to get the clutch to stop sticking?

Single click every time I stop pedaling but the wheel is still rolling.

Sounds awful.

Anyone know how to make this stop?
