+1 to travel, -1 for India.

I know it may be a somewhat controversial view to some, but I'm really not a fan of India, I've been there a few times for work, and I'm always glad to leave. Granted my view is probably tarnished by a working perspective, and whilst I live in South East Asia, I feel India pales in comparison.

I would say travel, but instead of listening to our suggestions, go to where feels right for you, there must some place in the world that you have always wanted to visit/explore etc. I also agree with the suggestion to document it via a blog, if nothing else, it will be for you to look back on, but I'm sure there are a couple dozen on here that would follow your assumably hilarious exploits.

I'm not sure about luggin a bike around, it depends on what you are travelling for, there are many places to ride in Bangkok, KL, Singapore, HK and Vietnam for sure, if that is, you decide to go in that direction.

Any abdominal pain? If so, check your liver. Certain liver illnesses can cause muscle and joint ache throughout the body, especially after food (this could include drink, I am unsure).

going against popular consensus, but i cannot stand those vans where the sole goes floppy and folds round the pedal. i tend to stick to nike sb.

Nike Janoski are a decent equivalent to Vans. The Nikes hold up far better, look better, and have a plethora of colours to choose from.

I'd take the pads off, drop the seat by an 1"1/2, then ride as fast as I could. So perfect.

Sometimes I wonder whether all the Cali bigshots watched Voices and TWW back in the day. I mean you can film someone doing a ridiculous ice el toro to hardway 3 to nose manual etc etc but it would never have the depth and character of those videos. This captures some of that essence.

Stop making us feel old by describing TWW as back in the day!

I agree, especially with Voices, there was such depth, you really got a feel for the scene, and you could tell that those guys were a real solid bunch of characters (for the most part). Listening to the music from those videos today, it still takes me back and reminds me of what riding is all about.

I look at this Cali shit, and as impressive as the riding is, it just feels plastic to me.

I very much enjoyed Super Monoco (is it purposefully Monoco?) although it doesn't have the large production polish and sheen of other edits, there is a subtleness and thought throughout that creates quite a cohesive video, even from sunny Bangkok I felt like I was on the dank streets of the north-east. Riding was solid, and I always enjoy seeing fresh Cookie footage, one of the most underrated rated rail destroyers in bmx.
