If you travel in ca. with a firearm make sure it is locked in a gun case, empty and stored in the trunk or bed of your car or truck..store your ammo and the firearm in seperate parts of the vehicle..ie gun in the trunk locked ammo in the cab locked. In other words make it as hard as possible for you to grab, load and fire the firearm as possible from the vehicle.

transporting ammo separate is not necessary. also if its in a locked case and unloaded it can be anywhere in the vehicle. long guns only need to be locked in in gfsz. mags can be loaded just not inserted into firearm.

So if my gun case is locked I can have the spare magazine loaded in the same case correct? I keep getting different answers from different people/places.
To play it safe I keep my glock unloaded with the empty spare mag in a pelican case padlocked, my 357 with a cable lock through the cylinder and no ammo in a soft zipper case with no padlock and all my ammo in an ammo case padlocked. Then I load it all into the same bag and bungee it around my sissy bar.

Great Sunday out at Ocotillo with the lady.
It was her first time shooting and before she did not like the idea of guns before.
Now she wants her own 9mm ha! Awesome 2 hour ride out there too.

Stopped by my local gun shop to take the California Handgun Safety Certificate test and accidentally picked one of these up in the process... :)

What do you guys think?  I have a few AR's already but once I picked this little guy up I just couldn't put it down.  Going to be my first bolt-action, can't wait to get it out of jail in 10 days and counting.

Definitely love the fact that it's compatible with all my AR accessories as well.

EDIT: Have a Mossberg 590A1, another stripped lower, and a Colt Gov. 1911 .45 in jail for another 10 days too...
This winter will be fun!

I decided to start up an aquarium again after not running one for about 4 years now. A small 5.5 gallon for now. Probably a 20 high will happen in the near future.
My fern is struggling.

How often do you water your fern?

Working on a little crate for our coffee table nic nacs. I sanded, burned & stained the wood.
I am sectioning it off for two individual drinks, drink coasters and our remotes.

I don't know what to do for hardware, I have seen ways to make my own vintage style hardware and I am leaning that route.

All are good but the first one is sick!
Thanks man! that slider thing you are doing looks really sweet, i don't even understand how you got into that
Thanks! It was a 360 slider but very odd to do on this. I 180'd onto the bank landing in a slider and whipped the other 180 then. Very weird on a short bank.
