The Bike Shop / Re: Anybody ride DH here?
« on: November 04, 2014, 06:10:38 PM »
Used to have a DH bike but sold it about 5 years ago due to working 2 jobs, going to school and the only decent hill around me was a 2 and a half hour drive and always so busy it just wasn't worth it to make the drive.

Definitely looking to get back into it soon though. Might pick up a new rig over the winter.

Too bad gun laws in Canada suck, rusty. That gat looks so odd with a long barrel

Meat, after playing it a bunch more today, here's what I've noticed.

- Put in an option to turn off the tilt entirely, so I only need to worry about the buttons. I hate having to hold the phone steady to be able to play
-Again with the tilt, maybe it's a glitch or maybe it's intended, but it just goes haywire and I can't adjust for it no matter whether I'm pushing the arrows or tilting my phone the opposite way.
- In the menus, make an option to turn off the sound

That's all i have really. I don't know if you can tell or not, but I have a huge beef against tilt dependent games. Despite that, I paid the dollar or whatever to unlock the next park because I really want to see this game do well and get better. Apart from my complaints about the tilt, I played it at every chance I got today.

Not overly a fan. Hate games where tilting is the only option. Would rather be able to just use the on screen buttons.

Downloading right now. Will come in handy when I'm sitting in my truck at work not doing anything.

Fractured rib, breathing sucks.. Work sucks more.
Laz works?

What's this? An overpriveledged highschooler talking about real world things? At least your mommy and daddy can help you out with your baby momma drama.

Oddly enough, you're the inspiration for this post haha. That's the reason I don't currently have a bike and in the winter I take it super easy on the snowboard. Too old now to be feeling invincible and shrug off falls, plus I can't be missing work.

Curious as to who is currently hurt on here in some form or another.

Almost 4 months ago, I tore 2 ligaments in my ankle and I'm not quite recovered yet. I was walking down my girlfriend's patio steps, turned around to say something to her and stepped into a hole her dog had dug at the bottom of the steps and fell straight onto my right ankle with all my weight. Had a physio appointment, the doctor gave me a bunch of stretches to do to help it heal quicker and be stronger faster. Didn't end up doing them because I was super busy the first month and also super lazy when I had free time. I get the feeling I won't be 100 percent for a long time either because I keep straining it again and again.

What's wrong with you BG?

The Bike Shop / Re: finally new powerbites.
« on: October 14, 2014, 05:31:01 PM »
I had powerbites for a couple of years and had the insert come out once. Like mentioned, put some threadlock on it, grease the pedal spindles and its good to go. Would most certainly look at getting these if I still had a bike.

The Bike Shop / Re: Mid school "collecting"
« on: October 09, 2014, 02:38:35 PM »
I don't have a big interest in gathering a collection of midschool shit, but I think my bike is definitely more midschool-minded in build. I am always on the hunt for 33t sprockets and railed seats.

My white whale currently is a 33t DK Iron Cross or Iron Cross Light Sprocket. Someone help me out.

May be able to help you out there.

What do you guys do with these collections? Just build bikes up to have?

Lately I've wanted to buy a couple frames I lusted over back in the day and hang them on a wall. But it seems silly to do that.

Haha. An online petition isn't going to do a thing to make the RCMP reconsider.
