AEG's are fun, but just not as fun.

If I lived somewhere warmer, I wouldn't use anything else just because they are so fun.

Must be a bitch to get a proper cheek weld on that thing eh?  The sight looks really high.

Hmm... It's not so bad... What with it being an aimpoint too, it's nice an easy acquire your target. It's not like it's got massive range or accuracy either. Just a fun toy... :)

GBB or bust.

GBB will bust your bank account and become totally pointless 9 months of the year with the climate here. It's not warm enough to work. Plus mags are about 5 times as much and the accuracy and consistency is horrific.

Muchos fun to fire though.

Neckbeard bringing back the old school...

What do you want then?

Lets talk about classic gun designs that just don't quit.
Also, in before any post about a 1911 or similar copy.

I was mostly making comment on all the "tacticool" crap that people seem to love bolting only things... For me, it's simplicity... M4 with an Eotech 552. Job done.

Rifle based... probably a Remington 700 or perhaps an M14...

There is nothing wrong with airsoft my man.
You just need to get yourself a WA M4A1 GBB.

I desperately want a GBB M4 variant, even though in our climate it might work well for 3 months of the year and then blow a gas valve... Apart from that, they feel frickin' amazing.

Saturday, I'm looking to play a game with a £500 motion tracker to test... It's like RL CoD! :)

Knights armament shit is realllllly expensive.

Those look so real I would expect to be shot in a setting where people don't know that they are only airsoft.

Yeah, we have to have UKARA licenses to use this stuff outdoors really. Both guns are pretty much replicas of the real steel. The RPK is real steel and wood, and the the M14 EBR is all CNC. In fact, the M14 fires so hard and the trigger response is so rapid, it actually has a satisfying kick.

Nope, just airsoft RIFs... :(

I feel a bit inadequate posting these, but since it's all the fun I can realistically have here:

My RPK.

My friends M14 EBR

There's more pictures of both ini my Flickr if anyone is interested... Here

Man, I thought this thread had died...

I know it's only a toy, but I recently got a sweet new RPK airsoft gun, that's a very faithful replica so I'm told.

Tonight I will stain the wooded stock black. I sanded and stained the foregrip parts last night.

So how much is an AR-15 going to run you? Just out of curiosity, like...

G3s look cool but they suck just like MP5s and any overrated tin metal shit from HK.

They are good enough for the SAS though?

Now I don't know everything there is to know about guns, but in the link chief posted it said "Recoilless Air Pistol" & I couldn't help but laugh.

Is recoil really a problem in air pistols?

Recoil is more of a problem in air pistols/rifles because the muzzle velocity is much lower, and the projectile spends more time within the barrel, hence any movement of the weapon having a far greater effect on the overall direction of the projectile.
