yeah i mean its not a big deal if you're tall, head tube just looks crazy long thats all. what is it, like 180 or 200mm?

ritchey make some real nice looking classic drops. thats something i really want for my bike too but my options are limited coz I'm all about that narrow bar life. teh fiziks look sweet though.

one hell of a headtube on that mofo

fwiw as I've mentioned this before. my 066 is going on 12-13000km now. i trust that frame as much or more than any other bike I've ridden.

yes it is. I have a jtek shiftmate so i can run campy 10sp brifters x shimano 10sp everything else. http://jtekengineering.com/?page_id=18

did it because campy ergonomics are way better, and surprisingly, campy brifters are significantly cheaper than their shimano counterparts. they're also rebuildable (generally speaking)

you can also run campy levers with one more gear than your shimano shifters if you route the cable differently, or two less routed normally. as in, 11sp campy brifters will shift 10sp shimano kit with alternate cable routing or 9sp shimano with normal cable routing. same thing with 10sp brifters like i have. 9speed with alternate routing, or 8 clamped normally. this is great for a cheap cx bike coz u can use old (hella cheap) 8 & 9 sp mtb cassettes. my winter/beater bike has campy10 to shimano9 with hubbub routing and it works mint.

info if you're gonna do any of that:

i can't help much as i can't be bothered to do it myself but if you get get the O.L.D and flange spacing specs from CK (they're almost certainly on the CK website) and find a spoke calc that takes those values in addition to the rim E.R.D. then you'll be golden

master with the knowledge.

all mountain/trail/enduro bikes are a great example of the aforementioned trickle-down.

they have significantly longer reach, as well as front centers and wheelbases compared to just a few years ago. the nomad is a pretty good example of this, which has is longer just about everywhere than a full blown dh rig from just a few seasons ago. times are a changin' (and i need myself a fuckin mtb)

this is some epic thread derailment.
