I wouldn't it simply be like an oddshaped washer with a lip on it? what if I were to use a Euro bb bearing so the thingy had more substance and less steel in the bearing? o?

so I finally caved in and got a frame with a mid bb, one mid bearing weighs as much as like 2spanish bearings. all this extra weight is very upsetting

could it be possible to fabricate a lil aluminum spacer thingy to put between a mid bb she'll and a Spanish bearing? just a thought

la is huge. is your job going to be in the cool hollywood part or some shit suburb in the far desert east?

rent is expensive down there, move in a house with people if you don't want to pay more than 1k for rent and you don't suck to live with.

the skateparks down there are plentiful but are kinda whack compared to other parts of Cali. do you wanna ride your bike to work and play and live or do you wanna drive around in shitty la traffic all the time, consider that when you pick somewhere to live. going five fucking miles can take up to 20minutes in some places/time-of-day, now just imagine trying to go 20miles, or even drive across Los Angeles at 4pm on  a weekday.. okay I'm just rambling now. living in a city is awesome

excuse any wierd ass auto corrects by my phone

funny thing about the most was they were half the price of a comparable tire yet every other tire I bought blew out or bubbled within the first month while the rest would get me a year

hey, I run a 2.25 on a narrow front rim
1.95in the back ...skinny tires are faster, aye

well I amassed a bunch of microknobbies before they stopped production and my pile is slowly dwindling, can anyone recommend me a new front tire? I imagine another racing tire should do the job
2.25
,light/folding, I think mk was like 16oz
cheap? ya, goodluck.
I guess a very non-aggressive dirt-tire tread is what I want? my mind totally trust that snafu rim job pattern

suggestions?

sounds like time for a new wheel ifyoure not into the hassle. new bolts for2.50$ fixing the helicoil is a whole different game, though, but if you can  fix it, can I send you a few more marmy axles in need of repair?

The Bike Shop / frame flex on a 4.5lb frame
« on: November 18, 2017, 11:19:12 AM »

yeah I can feel this kink mud runner flex when I ride it. I do mostly park and some light street and the frame seems to hold up fine but God damn I can feel this flex, should I be worried? I let someone else ride it for like a minute and he was able to clearly notice the flex

is it okay?

.

I have had two previous 4.5lb frames, one lasted 6months, the next last 6years so...

hey, I am trying to keep the shell of my truck cool come summertime, I currently have a brown glossy fiberglass shell that keeps much cooler than the flat black campershell I had before. how hot do the aluminum campers shells become? if I pick up a flat black aluminum campers can I easily paint it flat white or shiny white?

do aluminum truck toppers get significantly hotter than fiberglas campers when left in the hot sun?

The Bike Shop / old man knees and crank arm length
« on: July 17, 2017, 12:50:02 AM »
sometimes I need to pedal a mile or two across town aand it sucks and hurts my knees. i got a smaller sprocket, skinnier/faster tires ....will longer crank arms also help out?

at5'8'' Ive always ran 175mm cranks, but should I now consider longer ones for more leverage??
...I have recently heard everyone ranting and raving about 170s and 165s
