My question is do you ride with the younger crews. Im thinking everyone who rides just wants to ride the same stuff over and over again while i like to venture new places but it seems that nobody keeps this mindset anymore. Just people who are close to my age. Even the old farts want to ride the same stuff over and over again.

Being OLD(almost 30), how do you cope with the sport being over run by millenials?

Do you still have friends who ride? How do you manage riding with millenials? What other activities have you come upon since all your friends started having babies and leaving BMX?

Motorcycles rule. I took a ride out to Julian a couple weeks back because I had some time off between switching jobs. I started on a 250, moved up to a 500 and am now pretty happy with my 883. Eventually I'll punch it out to a 1200/1250 and do all the little shit to give it more oomf without killing reliability and milage.

My advice to anyone who wants to get into riding is take your time. Start off with a used bike of smaller displacement and understand that it's an entirely different world than being in a car. People will tell you that you need to ride like everyone is trying to kill you. Believe them. My best friend was hit last Wednesday by a dumb cunt who made an illegal left in front of him, and he literally broke every limb in his body. He was going the speed limit, riding safely, and now he won't be able to walk for at least 6 months. Take the MSF if you can, it will teach you more than you can imagine and will give you the opportunity to learn the skills without the risk of damaging your own bike,

Also, choppers forever.

I feel you. I have a GY6 scooter and thats basically it. It is just fun to ride but not good looking at all. I wanted to bump onto the Japanese 750 this year but I guess that is not going to be happening. Maybe a 250 later on next year. Safe travels :)

I can't be trusted on one. I make poor enough decisions on a bmx as it is.
I hear you, My dad wants me to get one and pay it off in a year. I cant handle debts very well let alone a motorcycle i'm gonna drive like I stole. Maybe im too young to have my own motorcycle and they seem to me like only shiny objects.

Well seeing as this site needs a Little more traffic, I want to discuss a topic most every person who likes bikes can talk about.

So what are the perks of being a motorcyclist? What have you experienced with different brands as Yamaha, Kawasaki and what made you give up on them?

As a starter I would like to know any type of stories. So let the rumbling begin.

A very nice condition  (not original paint) stricker euro bottom bracket.

I would like at least 100 USD for it.  :'(

Any photos of the stricker, had one of these in baby blue, loved it!

Its the same one, I'm having trouble uploading pixs from the job.

The Bike Shop / Freecoaster worn clutch
« on: September 04, 2017, 12:29:25 PM »
Hello I have Alienation rush freecoaster.

Its a reliable hub, however i got it 2nd hand for cheap.

I checked and the clutch seems to be overly worn, therefor it sticks whenever i put too much pressure.

Im thinking this is an easy fix just replace the clutch or grease it, however i would like to replace it.

My question is the following: Is a LHD clutch the same as a RHD clutch?

regards.

First post on this forum for about 5 years haha. Riding since 98 I suck these days though tricks are gone can still jump shit though. Tried mountain biking and gave myself 2 concussions in 2 weeks so sticking with what I know now
How did you manage to do that? careless much?

I'v been riding since i was 15 i think so I am now 26. 10 years is a whole lot time.
Also BMX is about how you dress and feel on your bike. If you dont choose your attire before a session then it is not bmx.

The compression bolt and the wedge thing is a turnoff.

Seems like a solid hub, it already has a nylon hub guard out so seems like garrett has been using it.

Not that i fanatize about garrett but still for it being my first fiend part seems pretty solid looking.

I wanted something fast and cheap so i got the first option that came along, which makes it perfect for my whip not to expensive but still working fine.

Besides i only use my whip like once a week or once a month i just wanted to really do some fake shit see how that goes this year. Cheers.
