Very nice. The VX looks to be in very good condition.

Haha yeah I know. It was just sitting on my desk and I pushed it over there to put the cameras there.

me and my friend were thinking if groving wheels like those with i dono a thin grinder wheel or something
and then setting that on some angle iron

That could be interesting. The only problem I could see is that the wheels would have to be perfectly straight, with the grooves in exactly in the same spots on each wheel, or the edges of the wheel could rub on one side.

That was one of the things I had to work on to dial in with my dolly. Just getting the wheels exactly straight so they didn't rub on the track.

do you think your dolly would be smoother if the head was mounted directly on the platform?
seems like if its just coming out of the center on one pool it might sway?

i dono, creative design though
props

Nope, the aluminum I used is really thick and rigid. There is virtually no shaking from the post.

It's Trent University. It's a few hours drive from Niagara.

Haha the lens is almost bigger then the HV30. Very, nice though.

Ah I see. At least it was the lens shades breaking and not the glass.

Is there a mk11 for a dvx? anyway  it's "Century Optics .3x Ultra Fisheye Adapter for Panasonic AG-DVX-100, Bayonet Mount"

There is, the reason I asked is it has the two pronged lens shades like my one. You must have a different 72mm version.

28
Is that a century Mk II? And that's a nice computer setup there.

You can't focus and zoom at the same time using the rings, but you can get around it by using the position preset switch, which will focus/zoom to any point you set.

I said I would post more dolly footage and I completely forgot, so here's a new clip.
