I have also made an observation whilst being at various trails in the south west over last year and this year, BMXers who can drive, are generally sound. Yet MTBers who can drive, are all dicks?

I ride a 24inch mtb.

You have 2 groups in the mtb jumping scene, you get the proper mtb trail riders who all run their own spots and are awesome lads.  Then you get the pricky dirt jump kids, all wanting to be the next sponsored pro, all with over the top mtb's for trails and most likely emblazoned with monster energy stickers and the likes.  Please don't get us confused ha.

Don't bring mtbers into this ;)

Okay, i should say he looks 13, any better?    Anyways kids a dick, that's all i was pointing out really

I've had around 10 spots ruined over my course of riding trails and dug at multiple other spots.  I have respect for what other people do, he obviously doesn't and he also missed most the points brought up in this thread.

Anyways, i'm done arguings about this.  I have my views on this and others there's, sadly some people's views are a bit disrespectful to others work.

Back to pictures :)

if they water lips and landings and sweep and patch up some stuff, where's the harm? i ran a set of trails by myself, and i don't have any qualms with people coming to ride, so long as they tidy up a bit. if they do work, who's to even know someone was riding unless they were there? certainly a trails god like you must have surveillance installed at your jumps, to keep detailed records of visitors. if you ride someone's jumps you don't know, leave them looking as good or better than when you got there, simple as that. leave them a note saying you rode and cleaned up, with your number or something. anyone who gets mad about that can suck a fat dick because you're just a worthless cunt then.

Hey, you're what 16?  I bet you've ran tons of trails and had tons of interactions with people coming to your spot in that time huh?

Also, i'd be pretty pissed if people messed about with my lips and landings whilst i wasn't there.

Trails god?  I suggest you learn to read, i simple stated my opinion, pretty much like you're stating yours. Does that make you a trails god?  No, you're just someone who posts pictures on the net so you can hear people big you up like the little kid you are.

Now fuck off kid, i don't like you and your contribution to this thread is pretty worthless and a bit late considering we'd all already had this discussion without your obviously enlightened opinion and agreed to disagree on the subject.

Don't get me wrong, little kids, chavs and the likes still ride trails without any regard for who built them but generally (well here anyways) as long as you're okay with them, explain the situation and not be a prick, they'll be okay and generally leave your trails alone.

Little kids will always be shit bags but older riders should know better.

You have a bloody good misses as well to understand you spending time digging in the woods.

Yes i would leave a note and yes i have left notes before.  I wouldn't dream of riding someone's trails without anyone there, it's disrespectful, simple as that.

It's obviously not far from him and he obviously looked on google earth to find them and then posted pictures of said trails.  This is mostly the problem but all he had to do was leave without riding and come back another day when someone might have been there.

It's not difficult to walk away from a trails spot without riding is it?  Same as it's pretty easy not to post pictures on a bmx website of someone else's trails without their permission.

We aren't all miserable shit bags in the uk, we just understand how much work goes into a set and therefore we have respect for those who took the time to build them.

It's not about arrogance.  Arrogance doesn't even come into it apart from maybe your arrogant condescending posts.

It is about MANNERS, RESPECT and COMMON fucking Courtesy.

If you treated the kid properly maybe they wouldn't show up and trash your trails huh?

Oh and i'm sure that the "kids"  (firstly barely any kids run sets of trails so shows what you know) Would definitely read a note saying "thought you trails were ace, if you'd like a hand digging phone this number"  And think i know, the first thing i'll do is instead of getting this lad to help like he wants to which means i won't have to do as much work, i'll but this number on gay chat rooms and the likes.    Sorry mate but that's just what you'd obviously do.

Gamlin's also bang on.

He is far from out of line.......... You guys are from the UK where if you left a note somebody would ring you up and say come on down and join us. The US is a much different place, hell last spring I had to rebuild the same jumps five times because of shitty kids. Anybody who thinks they can  control a plot of land they don't own is a fool. I have been riding and digging longer than most of you kids have been alive, and have seen shit come and go. If you are lucky enough to have a spot to dig at and ride good for you. Having a shitty attitude gets you nowhere........you polite fuckers accross the pond don't fully grasp how shitty people in America can really be...........we had somebody cut down the trees the chains were wrapped to so they could ride!!! Just having dudes show up and ride and not fuck anything up would be welcomed

You'd think being older and digging longer than us "kids" you could at least knock a good argument together that doesn't contradict itself constantly.

So you say people are shitty then say he's not out of line for riding a set that isn't his?

Manners and politeness count for everything.  How hard is it to leave a note but not ride?   You think it's better to just ride and fuck off and not leave a note?

Seriously, you're a prick.  You completely missed the point of any argument then went off on one about things not even really related to what was being mentioned.

I think you'll find we also fully understand how shit people are and people like Eggit are shit people, same as the little kids who turn up and ruin everything, the dog walkers who put fishing line across trails, the walkers who break glass bottles in lines.   But yeah you have it so much worse don't you petal?

Just because you don't mind random guys turning up and riding your trails doesn't mean everyone else should.   Trails take time and patience to build, so why the fuck should anyone just turn up and ride even if they are on public property?

Get some manners and etiquette and you'll be welcomed.  Turn up, ride and then posting pictures of the trails you found on a bmx website is a dick move no matter what you try and say with your abundance of bad punctuation and addiction to elipses.

Just because they can be seen from google earth doesn't mean shit.   It means you sat looking for trails on google earth that weren't yours and then proceeded to ride them.   I can find tons of uk trails via google earth, it doesn't mean i'd ever have the audacity to just turn up to them and ride.

What you should of done is leave a note at the trails with your phone number and not ridden them.

You definitely should not have taken pictures and posted them on the internet without the builders permission though.

I've built a lot of trails and had the pleasure of being invited to others trails to ride, that's how trails should be.  You should never ever just turn up at a set of expect to ride, especially if no one is there and especially not post pictures of the trails you found on a relatively large bmx forum.

Sorry eggit but you can argue all you want but in this case you are slightly out of line.
