I've looked into them a little, but I always find myself struggling for enough light. Even shooting at 800 I sometimes have some issues so I'm not sure that a filter is the best idea; even though the results are awesome.

I should probably tape over that stuff as well; or at least the little red dot.

That looks awesome, glad to see you took the tape off.

Do you loose much light using that red filter?

It's supposed to stop the rangefinder field from getting blown out from harsh light pointed directly at the camera. It'll actually make the frame lines appear darker though.

Some people notice it. I've never had an issue myself though.

It's really not that big. It's a LowPro FastPack 350

It was like $80.

I have the smaller one, 250 maybe? The one without a laptop compartment.
I just wish it was a little more backpack space/less camera space. It would be perfect then.

I just like the size aspect of it.
How bright is rangefinder/focusing on it?

I love the idea of having a Mamiya 6.  It would be awesome but I don't know if I could deal with the F3.5.
Even with this in mind though, I keep coming back to the idea of getting rid of my 500cm for one.
