Rider Hook-ups / Charlotte, NC?
« on: October 22, 2016, 01:15:59 PM »
Is there anywhere to ride around here?  I moved here over 4 years ago and my BMX bike has been collecting dust.

I know there's racing at Hornet's Nest Park and the track down in Rock Hill, but I haven't been able to find any skateparks around that are bike friendly.

Considering how out of BMX I am and that I have a wife and kids now I'd be much more interested in skateparks than trying to find street riding.

I seriously can't stop laughing out loud everytime I see this picture when I visit the thread.

I have two cats, they're both fucking awesome.  Selkie (white/gray) is incredibly vocal, but stubborn.  Mookie (black) is a cuddler and purring machine, and getting pretty vocal and whiney.

They're super gay for each other, too.

Law is written different, but it means pretty much the same.  You guys just aren't as sue-happy as Americans.

So if you need 300 reputation points to give rep, how can anyone give it initially if we all start at 10?

Once my bills are done at the end of the month I'll hopefully be doing this.  Although I agree the "BikeGuide Supporter" logo should be changed.

Is this going to be a private forum only for those in companies?  For example, anyone not tagged as in a company will not be able to view the forum?

Dealt with powersbikeshop: sold him a hub, he's a very nice guy, paid very quick, good communication.

Dealt with Skullzaflare: sold him a video card, he's also a very nice guy with good communication

Would definitely deal with both of them again.

Am I allowed to post the thread of my 24" mtb, If people know and understand other parts of the sport theirs likely to be less b!tching which can only be a good thing. I have posted  it but If I shouldnt have please feel free to lock it, but please let me stay on the forum.

You can post whatever bike you want.  If it's not BMX though just expect a lot of lame jokes and people trashing on you.

Common Questions and former stickies. / common bearing and bolt/nut sizes

Nope, you have always used a 6mm wrench.  That has nothing to do with the threads.  A G-Sport uses a 9/16" wrench, but has 3/8" threads.

I didn't realize M8 was the thread, I thought it was the size of the bolt like the imperial ones listed before it.  So is the 1.25 the length of the bolt then?

M8x1.25
-most overseas stems
-primo pinchbolts

Any metric stem I've used was size 6, not 8.

I can't type text with Camino (Mozilla's Mac browser), Firefox and IE were both giving me issues with it too.  Granted it's a slow Mac
