Yeah I looked into flat mount.. it's the right idea. It's compact but, very tall.. especially in the top right area. The rear triangle on a BMX frame is so tight, it was hard to fit. Did some cad drawings of that and ISO mount and the ISO I thought looked cleaner.. I went with shamano XT lever and caliper. Mostly picked because the lever is 1 or 2 finger and feels/looks closer to a BMX one.

The hub is a Profile elite 110mm 14mm axle.

Thanks guys!

Yeah I'm 100% trails ..definitely not peg friendly haha! Anyway I use and love having dialed brakes. Nothing against rim brakes.. the dust at my trails made my brakes suck pretty quick.

Looks are something I tried to smooth out. The caliper is tucked into the frame and mounted as low as possible. Normally it would sit on top of the seat stays.. witch is kinda ugly. Also I think they are easier to setup than U brakes. They come Pre-bled so you just center the caliper and your off.

Clints setup was cool! A 100mm rotor is a great idea.. I think a smaller caliper too would really help clean things up.

The pedals are Premiums..

Built up and had a few sessions with the new brakes. First impressions of them.. how are they not more popular. The feel and power are so awesome! Feathering them is smooth and making smaller adjustments easier.

Don't mind the brake hose.. ive shortened it since.

Finished up a frame for a friend this weekend. This was the first 26" DJ style ive ever done.. or anything other than BMX anyway. Totally new frontier for me... that's why I put the wild west music in the vid haha! Cant wait to see it built up!

Built in tripod is most definitely dope.

Was Reynolds 921 that tubing they used on Standards back in the day? i could've sworn I read that somewhere on Danscomp.

Thanks! The 921 has only been out a few years. The tube set cost and difficulty working with stainless.. Probably won't see it used for stock frames.

Where you turned down the "seatpost," is that intended as a breakaway point, or so that you can chop it and run a clamp later on, or is it just cool? At the very least, it's very cool.

This tube is actually beefier than a typical BMX ST being 1.25" ...the butt profile is really just extra thick in the welded areas. Wasn't really interested in saving weight.

Thanks guys!

Bike looks sick. Custom cranks?

Yeah, they are 177mm with 22mm spindle.

Incredible work.  Longer headtubes than normal?  I like the lower race detail on HT

Thanks dude! Yeah wanted to run my stem slammed. -Hey I remember you being friends with Charlie.. what happened to him? Guy feel off the earth.

I made a frame tester earlier in the year and ran a frame thru 100k cycles, then cranked it up to the highest force I could do for 1k more. Ill try and link a vid of the later. I slowed the cycles down for this part.

...not sure if this works?

I don't post much on here (or anywhere) but, lurk a few times a week. Just wanted to share a new setup I finished up. Got a pretty good session with it yesterday! Beyond happy with how it rides. Been building frames and parts for 8yrs now... this by far my favorite build to date.

The frame is a little special being made from Reynolds 921, has maybe the first (I haven't seen one yet) integrated tri pod and 20mm axles. I made most of the parts.

Here are two frame and forks I made. The one in the back was just before all the brake stuff was put on but, both are identical. One is for me and the other is for someone.. they didn't get it yet so I don't want to whore them to hard.
