Nice weather, got to lose the fenders and go with some bigger tires (40c).

I've read good reviews on the Vaya. There are good amount of options out there right now, considering you're also selling your MTB you may consider something that can fit 29er tires if you decide to do more MTBing/your trails warrant the larger tire size.

Switched this from fixed to single-speed. Looking into some smaller 29er tires.

Orange bike is rad! Nice classic build as well. Positive review on the LD stem, any negative remarks - aside from looks?

What is that one-foot-nose-wheelie 360 his does actually called?

Spent so many hours rewinding that in one of his Federal parts.

Just got a st Martin Alex jumelin frame, fair Dale headset, two sets of  brake with gyro cables. Just need wheels and pegs and my flat bike will be ready to roll

Every-pedal-makes-Monty-smile? Pretty excited to see your flat build.

Installed a china-made dropper-post on the MTB. Swapped bars on the two BMXs, pics to follow once the new bars arrive.

de-anodized my blue Odyssey brakes (oven-cleaner, despite warning/recommendations), but looking at them today they'll need a second go.

found some scans of that hamdog bike check from a few years back where he glued a bunch of trash to his bike, inspired me to glue a bunch of roach papers and stella packaging to mine. looks fuckin mint

I really want to see photos of this, as I always liked that Hamdog check.

Site Help and Rules / Managing Attachments pop-up?
« on: February 19, 2013, 02:03:56 AM »
I had this pop-up appear, but I had closed it too quick (when meaning to have clicked away) before having a chance to read it.

I thought I had a glimpse of usage bars, similar to your mail accounts.

Any clarification is greatly appreciated.

While you are talking about anodizing, G, if I remove the paint off a 700c rim, and leave the bare alu, will it corrode or should it be ok?

On rims the eyelets will be in the way so you won't be able to do a nice job around them and they'll all have a halo of funky looking nastiness. On top of that the oven cleaner is a caustic soda that if you don't clean away totally will continue to eat at the metal until the caustic soda is used up. And the surfaces left behind are prone to the white corrosion that occurs with bare raw aluminium. For example, around the eyelets (again) or inside the channels of the extrusion where you can't rinse very well. If not rinsed well enough you run the risk of premature failure at one or more eyelets or in some other area due to more of the metal being dissolved than just the anodizing.
