The Lounge / Re: Dave Mirra Dead

My first bike was a Mirra 540 Air in the early 2000's. I always thought of Mirra as a legend, on par with Hoffman, Nyquist and the other big names of that era.

Really sad to see him go. I can't even imagine how shitty life must have been for him to end it like that. I bet it was something like CTE but we will never know, which is unfortunate because we obviously need to do a lot more research on the subject.

2016 has been fucking shitty so far.

This shit's too open ended. Like #1: I prefer to do things with others rather than on my own.

Sex, yeah, I like another party involved. Taking a dump? I'll do that on my own.

You need to strengthen the surrounding muscles to take some of the abuse and to provide stabilization for the muscles involved in riding. Additionally, you need to start a stretching routine to increase flexibility and do some type of warm-up prior to riding. I would also maybe recommend getting something like a golf ball and putting the ball between your anterior arm where the pain is and the wall, and then rolling it with pressure.

Simply riding more is not going to do you any favors. The reason you feel pain is most likely because when you first started riding, you would slightly tear the muscles and tendons. These heal at different rates, but will result in small amounts of scar tissue. So, you are either feeling pain because you have a build up of scar tissue that is inflexible and simply tears again, or because previous tears are still around. It is possible that both of these are occurring because tendon tears take a long time to heal properly because of less blood flow (slower healing).

In high school she was super Catholic so refused to have vaginal sex, but let her boyfriend put it in her butt, which I guess makes total sense from a religious standpoint?

I just heard this referred to today as the "poophole loophole." It is apparently way more common then I would have guessed.

I know one person that does this. Her method is not one I would recommend.

She lives at home rent-free with her parents, who also buy her food, utilities, etc. I think she just has a phone bill, but honestly she might not even pay that. For 6 to 8 months of the year, she works at Texas Road House as a waitress. She puts some amount of what she makes into a travel fund. As a somewhat cute girl, she makes a lot of tips. For the rest of the year, she travels the world with some other girl that does the same type of shit.

It is super annoying seeing her go to all these awesome places and have the time of her life, know she only works ~30 hrs a week 8 months a year, whereas the wife and I work our asses off and can barely afford to drive home to visit family for two weeks once a year.

Just as some background on this chick, she has an associates and a bachelors degree in math or something. Her older brother committed suicide about 10 yrs ago so her parents definitely give into her every whim. Respiratory Therapist at one the largest inpatient hospitals in the country. Currently i'm working in the ICU running and managing the life support ventilators. Other times I can be placed on the general floors administering breathing medications/therapy.

Mind if I ask where at? My wife is an RRT.

Beaumont in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Damn dude! 1000+ beds? The hospital I am at has ~800 and is absolutely massive (I only work in the attached cancer center which is not that big). The wife is currently at a hospital with around 500 and she has no desire to work at any place bigger. Props to you.

I think Trump vs. Sanders would be awesome. Having no multi-million dollar backed career politicians fighting for big money would be great. Sanders doesn't want or like big money, Trump is big money and doesn't give a fuck.

I'd also like it if it was Sanders (democrat), anyone (republican) and Trump (independent). Trump would take away so many republican votes.

I was able to get some people to pay for me to go to grad school for medical physics (2 years deep into a PhD at the moment). Medical physics mainly consists of research and clinical applications in diagnostic imaging/radiology and radiation therapy.

THz imaging?

Nobody at my institution is pursuing terahertz imaging. It is a pretty interesting idea though. Easily implemented non-ionizing cancer screening methods are hot shit.

It's a presidential election in 2015 in the US. Everybody is online and trying to get people to read their shit and the best way to do that is super controversial headlines. What do you seriously expect?

I'm not sure if he was ever TAH but does anybody remember runnah? That fucker was a comedy genius.

I thought runnah was awesome. He posted something like "hello, my name is reading comprehension, I don't think we've met" in a perfect time/place scenario at one point and it was probably the best thing I saw on here.
