Finally built up the Brother. It's really fun - taking the ferry to France on Thursday. Very excited.

edit: if people are interested, I will post a picture of it fully laden with panniers etc. I'm going to put gatorskins on too

Decided to go for a Brother Kepler in the end. I'm going to finish the build next time I get paid.

Looking forward to touring in France on this in the summer.

Salsa Chili Con Crosso - my first geared road (ish) bike. I've put in a lot of miles on this, the brooks bag helps.

I am looking into doing some touring. Has anyone had any experience with the Salsa Vaya? I'm considering selling all of my bikes (mtb, cross and commuter) and setting up a Vaya to do everything.

Still waiting to heal up after knee surgery but I've made another bicycle purchase. I bought the chrome Charge Cooker below for next to nothing from the LBS owner. I'm using it to recover after surgery because the Bianchi isn't comfortable to ride post-op at the moment.

The blender ti is 22lbs now, getting pretty silly. Need to get another thomson post to finish it off

Decided I wanted to make my bike a bit lighter, think I might have gone a bit far with SIDs though. I've just had ACL surgery so I've not been able to swap the rear crossmax wheel on in place of the deemax but you get the idea. I think this bike is going to be lighter than my BMX.





Also, Sebastian - thanks! Not sure if I can justify dropping that much on a rack. I'll have a better look when I am able to ride bikes again in June (fingers crossed).

I built up my first mtb for about 7 years.

It's titanium and has gears which is nice. It pedals really well considering the geometry, I've been using it for xc so far and it does the job even though I'm 6 foot tall.

I'm now using female titanium bolts on the rear axle instead of the annoying quick release. I would normally chop the steerer too but I'm considering buying forks that don't weigh a metric ton like the 36s.

Yeah, it isn't even that heavy, I've ran that wheel a few times on my normal bike and it has taken so much shit.

I ache so much after two sessions, my thighs and calves have felt like jelly all week. I rebuilt the warpig again before I left and I've struck a deal with my mate to get some orange profile hubs laced to some shit primo rims for £100 so I will be taking my bike back to Bristol hopefully. I'll post some stunts soon.

I've been back at my parents house over Easter and decided to try and ride for the first time in nine months or so.

I didn't have any proper wheels, so I built my bike up with my dodgy ghostpedalling freecoaster and the front wheel from my ghetto warpig. Unfortunately, I had to use the heavy old pitchforks from the warpig too because the wheel was 14mm.

The bike rides like a sack of shit but I still had fun. Did a barspin, a hop up hang 5 and tried and succeeded to jump a jumpbox too. Needless to say, not riding my that long makes everything a lot more difficult.

It is probably an implied term regardless of the contract that the landlord must give you 24 hours notice before entering the property as this would amount to the landlord impeding on your exclusive possession of the property.

I don't really see what remedy you could seek here. As the work has already started, you can't ask them to stop because you will still be without a washroom.

It might be worth trying to negotiate a reduced rent payment for next month due to the disruption, starting any legal proceedings would probably prove to be  costly and even more of a disruption than this current problem.

In essence, buy some earplugs and a washbowl.
