This is crazy because today on snap chat I clicked on one of the "suggested subscriptions" clips.... something about the cash me outside girl. As I perused the useless information waiting for my work day to end I saw at the very bottom she is putting something out or being produced by ad@m22. I thought there is no fucking way that is the same guy that used to run TCU and the TCUboard and moved to LA for his shop  yada yada. Sure enough I did some googling and I spent 30 minutes down a rabbit hole and found out hes been doing a rap podcast, dating some youtube / porn girl, still has OSS.

I accidentally found his TCU podcast videos on youtube probably 8 months ago. I really liked the steve crandall, cory nastazio, etc ones. I was bummed to find out they weren't available in the apple podcast app even if he wasn't making new ones. I noticed most of them are older, and wondered if he quit making them.

He rose in popularity probably about the time I was biggest into BMX. 2005/6 - 2010? I remember the come up first starting, and the forum. Pretty sure A22 also posted on 20inchNYC forum too.

Seems liek his no jumper podcast is fairly successful, I literally came here to ask everyone if they realized this guy is a d list celebrity now, in the outskirts of music. Google said he has a record label or something now ? (if I understand correctly that isn't that hard to do anymore) but I thought it was really crazy how much this guy has gotten into, moved around, and been apart of. Not sure I have an opinion on him one way or another but I thought it was wild. Also the first thing I noticed when I searched youtube for adam22 I watched a video of him reacting to videos of himself from ten years ago. Lots of old bmx videos in it, and he looks like he fake tans or trying to make his skin seem really dark?

I came here just to ask about him, didn't realize what he was now. Surprised I found this thread

whoa, i haven't logged into BG in a couple years. thought of bmx-forum last week and saw it was basically a ghost town and then checked this place. what are the odds this is the first thread that popped up. several familiar usernames, several familiar avatars with changed usernames. i no longer remember what hank chinaski's username was before the current one but I think it used to be something different.

i joined in february of 2006  :o

I remember that well. I would like to think I wrote some good stuff on there and helped a few kids, but some of them were quite dense.

moderating bmx-forum inspired me to condense my knowledge into a blog, which has changed names and is now more focused on mountain bike stuff. too bad I don't work in a bike shop any more, I am running out of inspiration! what should I write next?

You were a moderator on bmx-forum? did you have a different username? I was especially when I was 18-19-20 so 7 or 8 years ago but I don't remember exactly all of the fellow moderators. I noticed I could still log in the other day with my old log in, and the place was a ghost town.

After the crashes it was never put back together again.

bmx-f crashes? what happened?

I realize this thread hasn't been front page in awhile, but I thought some of you may appreciate this. As a little preface, I carry a knife every day of the year and use it for everything around my job, around the house, cutting up an apple at lunch, etc. My knives get some abuse but I also keep them sharp and bolts tight as long as I catch them before they fall out (rare occurrence but has happened).

I had both of these knives - the Evo Jr and the other one (I forget what it's called at the moment) sitting in a drawer until about two weeks ago. the Evo Jr had play in the blade pretty much the entire year used it (bought in 2010/11ish), with the exception being the first month or two (not side by side play, close/open play) so I gave up on it. I called it a loss and purchase the second knife. Had that knife for a solid 1.5-2 years and really like it, good size, low profile clip, serrated blade. I considered it a step up from my Evo Jr - but it too also had play in the blade nearly the entire time I owned it. At that point I said fuck it because I was pissed with all of these shitty Gerber knives but continued to carry it because I didn't want to spend anymore money. Well I used it for anything and everything and it finally reached its deathbed after the winter I used it selling christmas trees. between cutting garland, twine, and once a couple small branches for a delivery tree, that knife was used every 20-30 minutes on busy days. It got a lot of use and one day toward the end of the season I noticed the clip was loose, I had lost two bolts holding the sides together, and of course the blade still had play. I threw it in the drawer with the Evo Jr and forgot about them.

Fast forward to two weeks ago. I have since purchased two Kershaw open assists that I enjoy very much (each has their own purpose in regards to where I am working on a given day) and I was impressed with the lifetime warranty (including the convenience of mailing you the spare parts you need no questions asked - except for blades, understandably) as well. I have sent in one of the Kershaws on the same day I sent in these two knives and for the same reason, has play in the blade. I may sound picky but I spend double on that Kershaw that I did for both Gerbers and I see no reason why they can't seem to handle daily use (I haven't sold christmas trees since that Gerber got destroyed! And I don't use my knives for prying, stupid shit, etc).

Anyways - I remembered my old Gerber knives in the drawer, looked online/saw they had a lifetime warranty as well, and decided to fill out the warranty form for each knife and send them to Gerber. On monday (about 10 days later) I received two packages in the mail - one with a brand new Evo Jr (in package) and the other with a brand new knife (same model as the one I sent in that was in really rough shape). I honestly expected a phone call saying it would cost me a couple bucks, or even for my knives to be sent back (especially the really rough one) but instead I received 2 brand new knives!

Despite my initial distaste with every Gerber I have ever owned (because they all have play in the blade after little to no time) I was very impressed and honestly have nothing but praise for Gerber. No questions asked they supplied me with two brand new knives when I honestly wasn't expecting much more than my own knives shipped back to me. If anyone has any questions on buying a lower-mid range knife I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Gerber product at all, especially with their (timely) warranty department. Only downside is that they aren't made in the United States. As for now we will see how long it takes for Kershaw to either get back to me, or mod my knife (I suggested it to prevent play in the blade if it was easier) and ship it back.

Sorry for the book, but I felt a backstory needed rather than: TL;DR i had two shitty knives and i got 2 new ones for free

Does it shoot?
If it shoots it will be worth three times as much as it would be if it didn't.

I'll say $750, I hope we meet this price otherwise we don't get our 15% commission.

I don't follow, do you work for a gun shop?

And that is around the range that I was seeing on gunbroker/other gun auction websites.... saw one brand new in box for $950 or so. This model (non gold receiver) non centennial edition were running anywhere from 350-500 so it seemed like a decent trade (there isn't that value in the item to be traded for it).

Thanks

i currently have a sig p250, and can have it sold (if i choose to do so) for what i paid for it to a couple different friends.

looking at a glock 26 for access to more accessories, parts, etc. and i like the quick trigger of the glock compared to my sig.

my question is, does anyone have any opinions/suggestions?
what is a good price on a used one? i know a guy who deals in this kind of stuff so that i may be able to run into one without going to a gun store -- however if i have to go to the gun store i think they were running about 500. is that pretty fair?

thanks

edit: i haven't been to a gun store in awhile, hoping to go tomorrow or the day after but i have no idea what they would have in stock. are places really running out of pistols that they have in stock?

on top of this, are there any differences in the g26 and g27 besides calibers?
shanks boiz

I have a question for all of you 12 gauge guys /turkey guys. i got my mossberg 535 on a trade, and all i know about it is that I have 4 chokes and 2 barrels. I know about the chokes and everything, but i'm unclear as to which barrel to use? i'm only gonna shoot clays with it this week and to be honest I have only put 5 shells through it since I got it because I went back to school the next week.

it looks identical to top gun in this picture, i have the smaller 24" barrel not currently on the gun, and the 28" on the gun.

my question is, which barrel is better suited for shooting clays? if one is better for that, then what do I use the other barrel for?
also, can i take the strap mount thingy out of the cap that tightens the barrel down? it appears to be screwed into the cap of the barrel that isn't on the gun, but seems really tight. the other one has threads i just dont want to start trying to take it out and fuck it up.

it says that this gun will take 2.75-3.5" shells, are there any clay specific/cheap/certain size (or shot, etc) loads that i should get? i had used some that my old man had laying around before but i'm going to pick up a couple boxes for when i go on my own.
which choke would be better suited for shooting clays?

thanks
