Ah, yes... I didn't really think that one through.

I wonder to what degree (if any) TBIs had.

Hopefully they check him for CTE.

Recently traded into a TA01ECOS. I'm thinking about keeping this one until I can trade up and into a Leupold MK6 1-6x and then I'll be done with it.

Heck I can see rubber rounds being useful for a situation like this, maybe carry 2 weapons one with rubber rounds and the other lethal depending on the situation. I don't know how well rubber would work so I'm just throwing it out there.

That comes with its own set of complications. I seem to remember an incident in New York where an officer meant to use his taser on a suspect, but he unfortunately grabbed his handgun and shot the person instead.

Cops also aren't trained to "shoot to kill". They are trained to stop the threat. If it takes one shot then it takes one. If it takes two then it takes two, etc. Trying to shoot at anything other than Center of Mass while your body is dumping adrenaline would be damn near impossible.

i wish i could but anything below 18 inches is considered restricted in canada and can only be brought to the range, only reason i bought the xcr is so i could bring it anywhere unlike my AR, that 18.6 barrel is long though.

Wow, that's a goofy law. I can't have SBRs in WA state either though. :(

SBR's are legal in Washington now.   8)

Wait what? When did that happen? I've been away from the firearm scene for a bit...

Earlier this year. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/03/jeremy-s/breaking-washington-state-house-senate-pass-sbr-bill-sb-5956/

Some people have submitted and been approved already.

Got some new bits for the G19 since I posted it last. FDE X300U, Vickers mag release and Trijicon HD's. I've also got most of the parts for my SOPMOD Block 1.5/PR build as well.

Yeah man I actually like the A2 quite a bit. I had a MOE+ on there for a while and while the texture is nicer it doesn't fit my hand nearly as well as the A2. I kind of want to try one of the BCM grips, though.

Block II clone is done for the 4th time and I think this is how it'll stay. That is, unless I decide to paint it...

How do you like the Sig brace so far? We can finally have SBR's in IL, but of course they had to make the process even more of a pain in the ass than it already is. I would't mind having a MK18 clone like that to go along with my Block II clone.

Its great. handles we'll and isn't too heavy. If I could i would jump through all the hoops to get a SBR. but seeing as I need to get a DD permit along with my FFL07 and a SOT /2 then i could get a SBR as a dealer in CA.
Im going to send my SOT out and get suppressors for "demos"

That's awesome! Honestly I would jump through the hoops to get it, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll be living in this great state. I figure I'll go for it as soon as I move though.

As for the taupe KAC sight just keep your eyes peeled on Arfcom's EE. Mine was used, but I think I paid about $150 for it. You can also signup to be notified on Operation Parts website, King Optic USA, Trading Place Pawn, or email Dennis Todd at DToddmg at aol.com to see if he has any left.

Edit: Weapon Outfitter's sells them as well, but they are out of stock.

We can have SBR's in IL now?  When did this happen?!

It went into effect this year I believe. Only catch is you also have to have a C&R license and you unfortunately can't e-file.

Thoughts on less than lethal ammos? Just moved to an area where thefts can be a problem and I don't think people should die for stealing. Anything for 12 gauge that would fuck someone up but isn't buckshot? I thought about buying a taser but seems too much risk of it not connecting well, etc.

Its hard to decifer if an intruder's only intention is theft. Taking the time to figure that out could have deadly consequences. Although, I don't advise a "shoot first, ask questions later" approach. In the event of an intruder in your home, call the police and arm yourself while barricading yourself in a room or defend a choke point. Make the individual aware that the police are on the way and you're armed. But whatever you do though, don't take Joe Biden's advice.

http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/08/robert-farago/self-defense-tip-dont-shoot-less-lethal-rounds/

I'd have to agree with this 100%, and especially the part about barricading yourself in a room while letting them know you're armed. It's also a good idea to let the 911 operator hear you give the intruder that warning as well. If they advance towards you after that then their intentions become more clear and you should be justified in whatever you need to do.
