Hope odysseys 48t crank is better than the old one. I hated mine.
Im also a bit confused to the the hub range from odyssey/gsport. Vandero, Anti-gram and Rolloway? What are the differences and why so many?

You check out Eclat lately? 9 different hub options, plus guards. Granted, some of the hubs have interchangeable guards, but WeMakeThings makes too many goddamn things.

Check and make sure you dont have em upside down. The frames brake post should be taller than the brass bushing for exactly this reason.

The Bike Shop / Re: Odyssey Clutch wobble
« on: June 23, 2016, 10:35:23 AM »
I noticed that when I pull on the chain to make it tighter, seems like the wobble is much less.  But should that really make a difference as to how tight or loose the chain is?

Well, having the chain tight probably causes the driver to deflect in relation to the axle,  preloading the wobble, making it seem like its wobbling less.

Corey Walsh is a transition blaster who anyone can get stoked on.

As far as I'm concerned, he won the Toronto jam this year.

None of the photos I've seen online do justice as to just how fucking high he went.

From what I recall, the friction bushing thing(the thing the grub screws tighten on to) is pretty much useless without the cone nut being tight. Its been a while but I think the bushing is ultimately held in place via tension from the cone nut, and the grub screws adjust the resistance of the driver. Also, those slotted spindles were recalled and replaced with standard (Tibia?) spindles, so I would get a hold of the shop he got it from and try and source a proper spindle.

Ive had mine for a while, and I can still see gaps in between the chain and the bottom of the teeth, but its smooth as fuck so im not too worried about it.  My master pin has backed itself out once or twice though.

I tried a tubeless set up once, with stanz no tubes or whatever. It kept blowing off at like 50 psi, no bueno.

Come to Canada. You can sleep under my ramps.

I had a pair of very old un broken Twombolts. They didnt stay on my bike super long because of that stupid built in adapter. I understand the why behind it, but holy shit did it ever fuck with my crank/chain alignment. My left crankarm was twice as far from the CS as the right. Also, ankle bite. I couldnt ride for a while because I kept goring my shit on those things.

That new Brad Simms edit was the first video in a while that made me say what the fuck out loud.

It says (with rounding) 184s but I have had a couple measurements be "off" with pijin, usually with the spokes being too long. I would round down to 182 and give the drive side extra turns.

The Bike Shop / Re: Brake Issues, Please Help
« on: January 19, 2016, 03:44:43 PM »
I have nothing constructive to add, just that my brakes work awesome on my birdcage. Did you take the wax off of the pads? Clean that coke shit off? Try cleaning rim and pads with Simple Green. Every couple months Ill take my pads off and let them sit in an SG puddle, and clean my rim periodically with it. They squeak for a bit but after that they work pretty good. Is your straddle cable super long? What brakes? Sounds like you might have some type of mechanical advantage issue, rather than a pad issue, but clear pads should pretty much just work and squack no matter what...
