the stoke is high on then hard bags!

Thanks dude glad I don't have to wear a backpack anymore.

Buy a Buell, it's everything you want between the two of those. XB12's are reliable, plenty of power and torque, and handle amazing! Full adjustable compression/rebound Showa suspension stock, about 4k to 5k for one in good shape. If you want a tube frame there is also the S1 model as well, very similar to the Ducati you posted. Maintenance is dead easy on them and they run hydraulic lifters on the XB's.
The xl1200s is basically a buell with a comfortable riding position.

Heres a pic from my ride home from work this morning

i want another sportster to tracker out but ill probably end up with a 650 dualsport. i dont think youd be un happy on a sporty. if you think youd like to have a 1200 at some point i would just buy one from the get go. theres a lot more cool bolt on stuff available for the 03 and down bikes. 04 and up are a little bigger/heavier and rubber mounted so theyre going to be a little more comfy. if you can get an S or R model i would they come with better brakes and suspension and a little more power.

man now the circumstances have been revealed that is really upsetting. he always seemed super positive on here

For sure. Just by reading through his posts there was no indication that he was anything other than psyched about whatever he commented on. It's a real bummer.
i thought it might been a crash on one of his bikes/motorbikes, he always seemed so hyped on life. at least he made the most the time he had

Motorcycle accident was my thought initially too. I didn't know him personally but he seemed like a good dude.reading this really bummed me out we were supposed to meet up soon to ride. Hope he found
Peace from whatever drove him to take his life. RIP Brian.

If you travel in ca. with a firearm make sure it is locked in a gun case, empty and stored in the trunk or bed of your car or truck..store your ammo and the firearm in seperate parts of the vehicle..ie gun in the trunk locked ammo in the cab locked. In other words make it as hard as possible for you to grab, load and fire the firearm as possible from the vehicle.

transporting ammo separate is not necessary. also if its in a locked case and unloaded it can be anywhere in the vehicle. long guns only need to be locked in in gfsz. mags can be loaded just not inserted into firearm.

So if my gun case is locked I can have the spare magazine loaded in the same case correct? I keep getting different answers from different people/places.
To play it safe I keep my glock unloaded with the empty spare mag in a pelican case padlocked, my 357 with a cable lock through the cylinder and no ammo in a soft zipper case with no padlock and all my ammo in an ammo case padlocked. Then I load it all into the same bag and bungee it around my sissy bar.

Correct you can have loaded mags in the same locked container as the handgun as long as they are not inserted into the magwell. for some reason the gun shops like to tell you mags have to be empty and ammo has to be seperate. Legally you do not.  It may be a good idea though just because most cops don't seem to very well versed on the actual laws. Keeping it all seperate would eliminate any doubts
