The Lounge / Re: When's the last time you rode your bike?

I get out on the Bmx once a month. It’s more to catch up with mates than riding.

Get out on the road bike even less than that. I’m going to work hard to get out more regularly on the big big this coming summer

I've tried 4-5 different pairs of vans and found them all to be horrid. Soft as fuck soles with no padding on the ankles.

I miss the old Osiris high tops. Thick as fuck around the ankle and ugly as sin

I'm no financial guru but I found if you record every dollar and cent you spend on a spread sheet you soon find exactly where your extra coin is heading. Like what you've done with not buying lunch every day.

A few dollars here and there over the space of a month can easily add up to a a decent amount.

I learnt this the hard way. Being on monthly pay makes you really need to find where each dollar is going and why.

So everyone agree inter bike was a waste of time for BMX this year?

Colored tires and the same prototype crank design that's been at the last four or five interbikes

Nothing new nothing interesting

I either need a 10mm front monkey axle or a custom 48 marmoset shell

I have a brand new Monkey hub that's just missing a bearing that I might be willing to part with.  I may even be able to find the bearing if I take some time to look for it.
where abouts are you dude?

Me or bunky?

I'm in australia

Thanks guys. I'll have a good look at the sizing of the bike when I'm on days off again.

I'll also have a play around with the stem/bars and the seat see if I can get more comfy. M
Does sound like I should just spend some more time in the saddle

The Bike Shop / Road bike help
« on: September 01, 2016, 07:44:30 PM »
Hey all,

A few years back a bought a road bike, went to a shop and they recommend a size small men's or something and all that shit, rode a few around and picked one.

It's an Avanti Vitali or something.

I don't ride it due to being lazy and I find it really uncomfortable, I'm not sure if it's just a conditioning thing but I find I'm getting pins and needles in my hands all the time after about 10k or so. Would a shorter or higher stem make this better?

Also are the seats on all racing bikes shithouse or are there any that are comfortable? My taint/arse area are always sore afterwards for a day or two. Is this a conditioning thing aswell?

Thanks for any input guys

I think around now is when all the 2016 completes will be price dropped due to the 2017's coming out in the new financial year.

Sunday or wtp have the best top end completes from memory. But saying that everyone has lifted their game on the completes
