i was basically in the same boat, i was feeling like shit all the time and rarely would a week go by with out some sort of heavy drinking. I've all but quit drinking, since ive lost about 20lbs feel significantly less shitty and realized how much money i was spending. For what i spent a year going out and drinking (roughly $200-400 a month) i could of more or less built up a decent carbon hardtail.

I currently have several sportsters sitting in my garage and actually just sold a 2011 monster 1100 on Monday. For everyday riding i'd pick the sportster every time, its less finicky, starts every time and was significantly more comfortable. Though (obviously) the monster was a much more capable machine it wasn't as nice to ride. They are loud (Dry clutch chatter), hard to comfortably ride around town (they want to be ridden hard) no ,where near as reliable and the service is very expensive and requires special tools to do. Unless you really plan to ride it hard a ton, id buy a sportster ,thruxton, newer Bonneville or a new cb1100 if your looking for something in a retro cruiser styling. If your considering the ducati seriously be cafeful of what years you look at they have some fucky issues, and id only buy one with full service records.

It's not totally fair to include hubs that were solid and THEN developed wobble after some riding UNLESS you know absolutely sure that your dropouts are parallel at the OLD

Dropouts that are not parallel when the wheel is done up will cause wobble in most hubs unless they have beastly axles eg: Gsport

If I ride a hub hard for months I can accept that it develops some wobble. But after several days of riding. Absolutely not. I've seen brand new ones wobble. They just have shit tolerances. And their warranty is fucking awful.

v2 hazard lite hubs were some of the best for the money with out a doubt. id still ride a v2 and a vandero if I could find a decent one.

s&m's were pretty popular right around the time of the deharts and eddies from fit. I remember seeing a decent amount of ltf's and first gen randy browns. and 2006-2008 era flys were pretty popular too like when the tierra first came out.

Their quality is mediocre at best. I've seen atleast a dozen pairs of snapped/cracked profile cranks. They price their product high because it's made in the us, and people eat it up because it the "best". The ont thing they have made worthwhile IMO were the gas pedals.

the risk of them shipping out mass-produced coasters with a small flaw is minimized.

We are talking about Profile here.
History has proven getting first run of a new coaster is never a good idea.

The thing here is however that Profile make the coaster in house. So the risk of them shipping out mass-produced coasters with a small flaw is minimized.

Could still have some production flaw, but the risk is probably way smaller than from companies working with taiwanese factories

out of the 4 profile cassettes ive had only one of them didn't need to be shimmed to all hell. there hubs are crap. and they cant measure.
