today i had my 3rd or 4th outing with the f25. i haven't had a dialed front brake setup since jason enns rode a kink empire v1 frame. it's addictingly fun, not sure if i'm feeling the 25 degree offset for everything though. it's cool for easily popping into nosepick variations at the park, but i'm not sure if i dig it for street riding. seems a little squirrely, but i was still feeling lightheaded from a bad cold plus i haven't pedaled in a couple weeks.

i am not psyched with the snafu mobeus detangler. it has a lot of friction in the bushing area when i pull the lever. i found out while trying xup abubacas. it jerked my whole top gyro plate crooked and tweaked my top cable housing. instead i now run a 17 year old piece of shit sst oryg detangler that's been dremeled out to fit my fsa impact integrated headset top cap. it's functional, yet it provides a laugh. my rear brakes feel amazing. dual lower odyssey linear cables, dragonfly upper, s&m gyro plate, v1 fly brake arms, chrome rims.
for fronts i have an f25 with evo2's, tech 77, and an odyssey slic (non linear) cable, and a chrome front rim. i like running minimal spring tension, yet i still want that clack clack on/off stiff brake feel and i can achieve that with a lot of triflow sprayed into the housing. so far so good. i've had 2 sessions on this setup and the last time my bike regularly had front brakes was when jason enns rode a kink empire frame. i like the 25mm offset of the fork for easily popping into and balancing on front brake tricks. i'd be curious to try out a nokon cable for the tight bends it can make. i bet it'd be a little smoother and make it possible to run slightly less spring tension.

possibly interested. does it have removable mounts? i'm seeing some palmere frames with em and some that are strictly brakeless. also do you know what the slammed chainstay length is? danscomp says 13.6 and the fiend site says 13.5 but i wanna make sure my 25/9 setup will slam since i'm a habitual peg abuser and i don't like the rear wheel moving around on me.
i'm down if it's 13.5" with the removable mount option even if it doesn't come with them. and as long as it's dent and fracture free.

i bought it new, built it up and realized the chainstay length was 13.625" slammed, and not 13.5" slammed. i didn't really want to run my 25/9 gearing at the 13.75" mark and the axle slots don't have enough room to deepen by 1/8" (.125") without the pegs resting on the welds connecting the CS to the dropout.
stock photo, my frame just has scratches on the inside and outside of the dropouts from my wheel being installed and removed. comes with 19mm bottom bracket installed.
i paid 250 plus shipping riiiiiight before dans blew this thing up for like $225 or something with free shipping. assholes.
offer me whatever

Ethan is still around, he's working at a local bike shop as the head mechanic. I only see him if I stop by the shop to hang out. Him and his lady are buying a house. Ken works and that's about it. I haven't seen Cory in a while, but he owns a gun accessory store (I think that's what it is).
If you're ever down near here again, we should ride something other than a parking lot. I feel like we owe you an apology for having you drive an hour or two out of your way to sit in front of a rite aid.
Oh, and are you still in NorCal? I need to head up to Napa to see my buddy soon, would be cool if we could squeeze in a little riding

chromoly hubguards are what's up. i have had the same s&m cymbal non drive and daily grind drive side guards in the rear for over a year and they're holding up great. at first i had to use about 3 or 4mm worth of spacers in between the axle collars and each hubguard to make it so the inner edge didn't rub the spokes, so then i took the spacers out and used an angle grinder to take off a few mm on the inner edge of each guard. now i can take my wheel in and out of my frame without having to spread the stays at all. maintenance is easy, and the steel guards are durable as shit and seem to really enjoy going over brick ledges and skatestopped ledges.
