so I've occasionally been feeling a grinding and resistance in my drivetrain when I pedal
~my driver is also missing one spring&pawl~
so upon inspecting my hub I notice metal shavings inside the hub. is this caused by the missing pawl and spring? is there a bearing inside the driver? I have not been able to spot where the metal is benign shaved from. I keep my hub lubed, but have had to clean out the metal shaving encrusted grease maybe two or three times in the past two months.
has anyone else experienced this problem?

Definitely, they're 3 pawl hubs right? There will be all sorts of horrible things going on in there, i'd guess the driver will be grinding on the ratchet ring.

I've not had any experience with Antigrams, but plenty with Ratchets. If it is indeed a 17mm Ratchet, then it is absolutely imperative that you have all 3 pawls and springs. The outer end of a Ratchet driver can move a bit on the roller bearing inside it, this is by design. By running 1 or 2 pawls you are allowing it to running eccentric (off-centre) and rub places it shouldn't do so (namely the roller bearing cage) as it rotates, which would account for what you've found

Carlos, you’re the best at being you.
