Title: BSD Westcoaster
Post by: LeonLikesToRock on January 09, 2016, 04:36:57 AM
Anyone tried one out yet? Look pretty cool. Doesn't use the 'KHE style' spring setup. Also, does anyone know if the old KHE 11t drivers will work with the new style hubs like this and the Clutch?

Is it just me or in that cutaway does it look like the clutch just engages into aluminum?

I've built like 10+ wheels using these hubs and nobody has called to complain. Its winter in Canada though so I cant imagine most of em have seen too much in the way of action yet.

I thought the same thing, but it looks like there might be a steel liner. Otherwise, that hub shell is going to be full of shrapnel after a single session.

if youi look at the clutch mechanism and then the hub cut out it doesnt look like it contacts aluminum.

i imagine the o rings will wear smooth with time and stop grabbing, but should be cheap and fairly simple to replace. also i guess you would need to make sure that no grease got on them
