I didn't try to order it myself.

But, no I don't think you'd have to be a moron. Huge online retailers sometimes sell old stock just to get it out of the way. I've seen stuff on jensonusa.com marked down 75% from original retail.

Plus look at the retail price which has been marked down from the price of a complete wheel, this seller is definitely trying to pull a fast one and seems to be working for now.

It will be related to the product data that they send to Amazon, it happens to me at work with the Google Shopping page whereby our submitted data is perfect but they advertise ridiculously cheap prices. Fortunately in our case it links through to our site where they see the correct price, but I imagine Amazon works differently and you don't go through to the stores own website. I'm surprised they didn't pull the product after the first message!
