Éclat should be last on your list.

Having said that, z-coaster.

I have the utmost confidence in the Clutch, but the Bamboo is great too if you don't care about LHD

Very impressed with the lack of drag in the clutch.  Makes it feel like a cassette and I'm sure fans of crank flips would agree

Yup crank flips just like a cassette. This is my first freecoaster and i love it, the silence when riding is awesome, haha. Have smashed my knee off the bars a few times already though. Damn slack.

Anyone else been noticing that the gap on the Clutch seems to increase as the session progresses? I think the little grub screw on the slack mechanism works itself loose after impacts on the ground...

I have the clutch and my brother has the blind. I have to say that the clutch feels better and functions better overall

Suprised your bother isn't still on an Ezra.

I love how light the Ezra, Salt, Dartmoor coasters are, but I kind of miss the engagement feel of a screw type coaster.

That is very unlikely, but what is probably happening is that the helical adjuster is taking a little time to get pushed back together after you re-open the gap. It needs the clutch element banging into it to shove it back along the axle out of the way, and this sometimes takes a little while.

I made a couple of videos of how to take the hub apart and put it back together again if anyone needs this:-

From what I understood from my local shop the Eclat one had a production error in a spring or something similar that Eclat sent out replacements for. I havent seen a new batch being made though with the fault corrected, so maybe their project failed.

I've been wondering how these hubs were faring.

I didn't have a good feeling about them once I saw the ratchet ring tooth profile.  They spaced the teeth out to try and give the hub more slack, but depending on where the teeth are in comparison to the ring, it might not actually have that affect.

I still kind of want to try one out.

Laced up the Clutch about a week ago.  Holy shit that thing is smooth, I don't think I could be any happier with it to be honest.  That said, I had been using a Geisha Street for 6(?) years, but still.  Slack set on max, but still engages so quickly and seamlessly it makes half cabs super easy and pop much higher.  Well worth the wait.
