I'm not profitting out of this(unless you buy one of those lovely stickers ;P), I just want to create stuff and maybe help some people while at it. Hurry up and buy it so I can work on the next project! If you mention your from BG, I'll throw in a little something extra.

How does it help a living legend out and what with? Hopefully I don't sound like a jerk, just wondering?

They're just gonna a get a check in the mail for whatever profit was made. I emailed Ralph about it and he was down with the idea. I just saw that Ed was selling prints and his old bike online so it seemed like he may need some cash. Dude's a legend, should be driving in a Lambo!

I'm just trying to break even, maybe get some attention to my work and go on to the next project.

Rusty got the homie hook up.

But seriously who are we to judge anyone, i try my best not to judge anyone til I meet them. There ain't a person out there who hasn't fucked up once or twice or more. Truth.

Sure, I'm not judging him. I'm sure others aren't too.

But you are giving him money. I understand raising money for charity or a local cause or something, but that's a bit weird

I saw on Bob Scerbo's tumblr a picture of Ed with a free Ed hashtag then I remembered that cool photo that Jeff Z did and just drew it. When I saw the outcome, I thought it'd make a cool t-shirt. I couldn't sell it as mine cause Jeff Z and Edwin both have more rights over it than I do. But if I shared the profits, I'd still be able to get my project out there and help a dude out. He was selling his bike on Ebay at one point! If this was on a GoFundMe page it'd probably work a lot better but theres no need for all that.

I have this idea and when I work this idea out longer, it'll all make more sense. I got sick of waiting for the right conditions to happen so I just made it happen. Go buy the t-shirt and help fund more projects.

Wasn't he locked up for not paying child support?

I can't support that shit. Pay for your fucking kids!

plenty of riders do dick things, cant talk shit on edwins riding or influence in bmx though. someone in sell and swap saying he cant barspin anymore cos hes always too high LOL

I wouldnt be giving him money right now though either, unless i knew him personally. I hope he gets his shit sorted out though and keeps shredding

I don't think there are any members that aren't grown fucking adults on here anymore. I don't give a shit if you accomplished some bike tricks. If you introduced yourself to someone by giving a trick list or that you were responsible for the grind marks down a rail, I highly doubt anyone would want to hang out again.

You're right, probably no one here knows him outside his media persona. I'm going to judge the motherfucker on some dumb shit he said though. He called out wearing helmets. Something along the lines that he didn't accept that as street riding and you should probably be flippin burgers if you're scared. Stay BMX rich ya smarty smart smart.

i dont watch anything from the come up so i never saw that interview, im not going to stop enjoying his riding though even if he is a fuckhead of a person. a lot of things you say make me think youre a fuckhead of a person (and im sure youd say the same of me), but i still enjoy seeing your riding clips and pics when you post them, helmet and all

Oh I would probably buy an animal dvd if I heard he had a dope part. Kris's thing is not the same thing in my eyes. This is addressing his personal life.

If I needed a character witness and you declined or said some unflattering shit I'd understand Ben. As cool as it would be to have someone attest my wallride abilities when entirely irrelevant, I'd understand.

The point has been lost somewhere back there.

I've always liked Edwin, he rides really cool and that's what I liked. I saw that interview and it made me really dislike him. I'm sure he can still ride, but character wise I'm not a fan. Talking about fights and drinking and smoking is just kinda lame to me. I'm sure TCU pushed for those stories and clearly didn't care about smoking during the interview, which is also really lame. You're grown men, loads of kids look up to those guys; you couldn't have an interview without your vices? Especially for one of the biggest bmx content outlets? It's stupid.

They talked about Mirra and how he would party and what not but you wouldn't hear of that otherwise. He didn't brag about it and he also grew up, that's why he's still ballin' and Ed isn't. I'll still watch him ride, but I won't directly support his nonsense.

But that's just me

Wait, so you want to support a grown ass man who is struggling because he rides kids bikes? What the fuck?

You should spend some time volunteering at a food bank or some shit.

I think his TCUTV interview was just him chatting entertaining shit. I don't think he was too serious about any of that. His stories were the equivalent of like the lead singer of Pantera writing a tell all book. There were some shitty things but all that shit happened years ago and the audience who cares are definitely not the audience that matters now.

I think him and Dave Mirra brought up to very difference aspects of BMX, sure Mirra is Mirra for a reason but fuck man Ed made shit real for the kids on the street.

Somewhat connected to this subject, I find it a bit miserable that a sizeable proportion of top guys can't get their lives outside of riding sorted out.

So many amazing riders don't seem to have much foresight about what they're going to do after they get dropped. Respect to Eli Platt for winding things down and planning ahead.
