Where are you staying? North County area or down near Downtown?

I'm a SD local and can give you a few pointers. You looking for baller type places, or some casual more fun places to check out?

Double Standard, Kettner Exchange, Prep Kitchen Little Italy, Ironside Oyster Bar, are my go-to restaurants in the Gaslamp. Catania up in La Jolla is dope too.

What are you looking to eat / what are you looking to spend?

I'm not from SD but I did once base a fish taco recipe off their regional intricacies. (BG food thread)
Apparently the San Diegans pioneered a nice light sauce that, as it seems, is quite tasty.
Any locs able to recommend this man and his new ball and chain a fine joint? Not to stereotype but Catania up in La Jolla sounds like they'd have them.
Here is my wedding gift to you: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/04/best-fish-taco-san-diego_n_5607927.html (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/04/best-fish-taco-san-diego_n_5607927.html)

Is this a rushed wedding because you knocked her up and daddy-in-law is threatening to kill you?

Daddy in law has no say in anything and will not have any part of this. Also today marks our 6 year anniversary together and she wanted a child so we were trying so yolo.

So Laguna from Sunday to Wednesday and SD Wednesday to Sunday morning. Lots of food and laying around sounds good to me.

Really depends on how much you want to spend and how far you want to travel. I try to stay out of Gaslamp because I'm broke all the time. South Park has the best beer bar in the city, Hamilton's. Highly recommended. Also, the best sandwiches in town are right around the corner at Grant's Market. Seriously, amazing. North Park I'd recommend Tiger Tiger, Crazee Burger, Sicilian Thing (for pizza), Bangkok Spices. If you like Russian food there's a place called Pomegranate which is fantastic. Rabbit stew is killer. There's an Ethiopian place next door which is great too. I would highly recommend taking the time to visit Carnitas Snack Shack if you feel like being in cholesterol heaven. Pretty much any taco shop you wander into will be good, but you already know that. Favorites are El Zarape and Saguaros. If you make it up into my neighborhood you should probably eat at Zia Gourmet Pizza. I live right upstairs from the place and literally eat there 3-4 times a week. It's probably why I'm so broke all the time.

As far as fun shit to do, Balboa Park. There are several lawns where you can bring canned beer and hangout in the sun. All the museums are pretty phenomenal although somewhat overpriced. The zoo is a standard, good time. If you feel like exploring a bit Coronado is beautiful and it's work walking around for an hour or two at the beach there. Any other specific things you're looking to get into? I can probably point you in the right direction.

Right on, you can still get that consummation then?

@AesopRock, thank you for talking your time to write all of that out! I'll definitely look into those places when I'm down there.  I do enjoy Coronado a lot but have never spent time there outside of Hotel Lowe's  and the beach next to it.

@Mutinous- I feel bad poking it

I've got all my financial paperwork into a loan office and ~10k. I hope it happens! Tired of being half an adult.

download the app called chef's feed. get recommendations for restaurants from local chefs. tons of cities. its way better than using yelp.
