Seeing as this year does indeed seem to be the year of the CCR, i figured why not have a thread to remember all the frames that have been super cool over the years in the small corner of the internet that is the bike gallery.
Last year it was the barcode for sure, before then honourable mentions are fit s3, take ivy, seshin shithawk, could maybe even say sundays were at one point. post some more of them and refresh my declining memory cells
-
Standards where big for a bit weren't they?
-
Fbm stuff and some of the fly frames I'd say.. like 2006 era stuff
-
American made = cool in my books
-
Black Bike
-
stricker
-
T1 for sure.
Fit frames from around 2008-2009 i.e. Dehart, S3.5, Cleveland, Dak were pretty popular.
-
fly tierra
-
Let's not forget the FBM PW Moto when they came out. I also recall the Sunday Ian being very popular.
-
fly 3amigos
sunday
-
pantera?
-
Definitely the wave frames.
-
Any frame that had a dedicated thread.
-
Take ivy hysteria went over my head, what was the appeal?
The time frames gusset was really nice, bmx needs more (harmless) attention to detail like this.
-
Fit S3.
-
Can't think of any frames off hand but how about parts in general? Gsport stuff for example seems to have a higher rate of say, Gsport (who aren't in the mass-produced frame game)
-
OG Take Ivy was huge for a while.
-
2 sites and I only read Barcode once in this thread?
-
Cracked Sunday Soundwave
-
Just kidding. Custom FBMs
-

The geo just looked really good, that's all. Plus they've always been FBM-made.
edit-- weird, I just realized my bike is the first bike that comes up in a Google image search for ''The Take Ivy''

pantera?
The balance point on v1 Panteras was incredible.
Any love for Deluxe? Not quite popular enough maybe.
-
I fucking love my Deluxe frame, never seen it mentioned on here much though
-
I was a s3 fanboy for a long time. Wish 21" were more popular. All the ones floating around seem to be 20.5 like my old one.
-
Definitely Fly frames.
I miss my v1.5 Pantera. I should try to find a 21.4 version.

I rocked a Deluxe for a while. Would ride again. I'd have to be shorter this time though
-
s&m's were pretty popular right around the time of the deharts and eddies from fit. I remember seeing a decent amount of ltf's and first gen randy browns. and 2006-2008 era flys were pretty popular too like when the tierra first came out.

Grim Reapers
-

I have one for sale.....;) second version/year. great condition... sunday driver, etc.
-

That fuckin yogurt company making Ti shit. That was cool because you probably didn't have one.
-
Those embassy frames were cool. Had fat tubes
-
Solid KP Rippers.
Tricolor frames.
-
Definitely Fly frames.
I miss my v1.5 Pantera. I should try to find a 21.4 version.
Had a sparkle grey in 21.4 and it was incredible

Retired my sparkle grey 21.4 half a year ago. Never gonna sell it. Awesome frame.

Between the Canadian dollar sucking, Laird apparently not doing anything other than double diamond frames, and the closure of the welding portion of Solid, I may never get a custom frame.

Have you considered contacting some Fat Bald Men about a custom?
-
Yeah, they're encompassed under the 'Canadian dollar sucking' portion of my last comment, along with Standard. $654 CAD before taxes, base price. Arent you Australian though? I think you might have it worse than I do.
-
Isn't pedal driven Canadian? You can also make payments with Randall yhel make the frame after receiving 2/3 of cost
-
pedal driven is in virgina iirc
-
i'm pissing into the wind.
