Title: CCREPSOL
Post by: skateparkrider on January 22, 2015, 04:35:19 PM
My current roasting rig:

CCR frame. 21.5" top tube, 14.5" rear end.  It ramps like a god damn beast master.  Maiden voyage was at Ray's CLE last weekend.  There was A SHIT TON of people there.  Pretty good times.  My buddy snapped a few pictures of me at the end of the night.

Color scheme is a shout out to Marquez's black Repsol

i like this, its very cool. pretty different from how you normally have your bikes setup, though i imagine youve still got a few built atm. hows the sprocket clearence on the frame vs chainline?

Thanks!  And, actually..... This is the only 20" I have built up at the moment.  Hoping to get a "full freestyle" rig built back up again really soon.  I just need to figure out what I want to do on hubs and then build it.  I need to find a freecoaster hub that uses bigger drivers (11t).

Sprocket clearance is no problem at all.  Didn't have to do anything special.  If I remember, I'll try to take a picture sometime.

It is pretty old and the lighting in this picture makes it look more purple than black.  But I feel you.  In person it doesn't look as different hues of black as the pictures make it out to be.  But the badassery of the sprocket makes up for any discoloration, IMO.  That, and it was the only 39t I had so it won by default.

So many people there.  It was by far the busiest I'd ever seen at Ray's.  But even though there was a shit ton of people I really didn't feel like any place was too crowded to ride any place I went throughout the day.  What were you riding?  Bike and/or section.  There were some dudes in the old man high jump contest who were some shredders.  And I met a dude from BMXMuseum.

It was my first time there so I rode a little bit of everything. I rode an all black bike and I was noticeable worse than anyone else there haha.

I would ride the shit out of this bike!

Long rear ends for the win!

I can't stand all these new frames with their short rear ends built for wussies.  I need to post up my animist again.  I think you'd dig it.

what happened to your sta and barcode?

STA is in pieces at the moment.  I need to figure out a hub set for it and then I'll have everything to build it back up.  Trying to find a decent freecoaster with an 11/12t driver.  My buddy said he has some KHE 11ts, so now I just need to find a hub. I ended up getting chainstay brake mounts and plan on running a bigger gear.  The only laps I've got on it so far have been 36/9 and it isn't too fun.

I sold off all my Tree shit, so that left the Barcode pretty stripped down.   It's winter where I live, so I'm sort of just tinkering with stuff at the moment.

Did your chain come with enough links for 39-12? and 14.5" stays?

Ha.  I'm still keeping my eye out.  Nothing in the STA world has caught my eye lately.
