Title: Tripod Seat sizes?
Post by: WoBBLE on January 11, 2015, 10:18:44 AM
Hey,

I've not been able to see these in person yet, but how big do these come up? I get the impression they are a bit wider than fat capital style seats (at least the fly Devon and United ones etc).

I currently run an old shadow railed seat as I love massive sofa seats. Are tripods bigger than fat capitals?

Thanks for any input!

I'd say similar fatness but shorter in the nose.

I think the tripod seat shapes are a bit odd. I have two of the slim versions from two different companies and they both seem a bit stubby. To be fair, I'm coming from running an ECD which is fairly long and narrow so my perspective might be skewed.

i will do you a favor.

dont buy one.

you will change out every part on your bike trying to make it look right.
and end up riding a goof-troop.

^Haha, that may be true. I've had mine on for a couple of weeks and my eyes have already adjusted to it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i just saw the fitbikeco "solo" seat, it measures 7.75" long, 4" wide, and about 3.5" tall.
