My OG solid stem is really old, its been through several owners.

My frame, forks, wheels, sprocket and grips are almost 5 years? My grips are truly older than that, they were backups and I put them on when I put this bike together.

I hate riding it these days because it's past the prime of usage. I like to think about buying new shit when I'm riding it. When I get on the internet to look at shit to replace, I fucking hate it. I like buying orchids way more.

I run Gt driveshaft cranks on a lot of my bikes. They're from 99 2000 I think but I picked most of them up from 2009 on. They were cheap when I got them but now they are getting collectable. As for age in terms how long I've been riding them, I've been running a DK Jump stem since 2003 or 2004 and have a Nokon cable outer and Tree OG sprocket I got in 2006.

Other than that probably my Animal Jumpoff stem.  When did those come out, 2003 or so?

My Marmoset hub is pretty old... 09 at the newest.

My profile cranks are probably about 8 years old. I have v1 Concorde forks...

My entire bike is pretty old actually broken parts miraculously get replaced with parts that are NOS or other old stuff.

Post by: niels.d on January 06, 2015, 04:55:17 PM
My whole bike is pretty old. Now that I think of it, almost all of it is from 08 when I built up this v1 United Trinity:

I'm still rocking the same wheels front and back (Simple Eject to Rhino Lyte, WTP Q-Lite Supreme to Ribcage), same sprocket, seat/post, Sunday forks, even recently went back to running one of those Revenge tires in the back. The stuff that has been replaced for the most part with some equally or even older stuff like used powerbites, (probably 10+ years older) Seshin Chilko bars, a 06 stem off a Fly Complete, and a v1 BSD Forever frame...

Definitely my fork- it's a straight leg Odyssey Race fork that was originally snow camo. It's at least 9 years old, maybe 10. Now that I think about it I should probably replace it.

Actually, the rollers on mine started falling apart and you can only replace so many before the chain becomes a crusty corpse.. R.I.P.

Now I need a new one.

i smash my chain a lot on driveside grinds and also doing crankarm grinds on ledges. links get twisted and chewed up, grinding driveside without a guard on right angled coping ledges is usually what does it

got a keychain on the way so will see how that works out. also fingers crossed ill have space to run my sprocket with the guard on the inside again on my aod cos of the wishbone, although i dunno cos it looks pretty tight

My Marmoset is still fine after over 10 years, probably due for its second bearing replacement. I only replaced it because A. the second newest G-Sport hub had way better aluminum guards available with steel inserts and B. it came in clear anodized polished to match my Clutch hub.
