Hank, if that 4Runner checks out clean, you won't be disappointed. A friend of mine bought one as a winter beater, and ended up liking it so much he dumped some money into it to get it into tip top shape and now daily drives it

Girlfriend curbed my wheel this morning... Not too pleased.

Not sure if I should even bother looking into getting the damage repaired or just go out and buy a replacement wheel since they're less than 190 a piece...

Also have paint cracking on my front fender from rubbing on my old set up. Don't care. The more I think about that, and the curb rash, the less I care. Battle scars and all that.

Speaking of water, can anyone recommend a good pair of water proof work gloves?

They don't exist

My new wheels finally came in. Kicking myself for not going 18x9.75 now, but whatever. Maybe next summer I'll go for a super aggressive set-up.

wheels are 17x8.25 +25 and tires are 205/40/17. Need to tweak the camber in the front, since my overall wheel size is a bit smaller than my previous one, and the slightly stretched tires, I won't need to run a stupid amount of camber up front. Also probably going to raise the front up a bit, hate listening to the scrape every time I go out of my driveway.

Jesus Hugh, that's awful.

But is it bad to say id rather hear about a young dude going out doing something like that than hearing about them taking their own life?

Ginger, you guys get paternity (is that even the proper term?) leave? Very rare in Canada for dads to not go to work after having a kid. I seem to recall you being a student though?

Congrats.

In other news, the Antonov 225 (aka the biggest plane on the fucking planet) is landing in Ireland this Saturday and I won't get to see it. :(
I've seen the smaller antonov 124? At the Shannon airport a few times, pure badass. They were white and blue or grey and blue.

Hugh you would wet yourself with the airforce planes i see on the daily since i live super close to an airforce base (has a nice skatepark too)..

I went to Virginia beach a few years back and there were tons of f-18's flying around all over the place. It was awesome.

Bruised heel is the most annoying injury!

I had one of those once, but I'd argue that a broken collarbone on your dominant arm is worse.

fracture vs bruise... I wonder what is worse

How astute of you! They can still be compared

Don't you mean sarcastic. Actually most things can be compared, but doesn't mean they should be. For example, a whale and a mouse, or a car and a plane. In this case a fracture and a bruise.

Im sure if you broke your heel it would be as bad, if not worse than fracturing a collarbone on your dominant hand. Sure with a fractured collarbone it maybe hard to eat, sleep and wipe your ass, but using crutches to get around everywhere would suck. Id rather use my non dominant hand for my daily routine, rather than drastically loose mobility.

All injuries suck, but by saying yours was worse when people are expressing pain makes you a dick.

Shit son, you're a fucking wet blanket. You suck. A lot.

Installed some UEL headers this evening. Cold starts are not a good time now.

Been listening to a lot of Watsky lately. Good music to hop in the car and drive somewhere to.

I ended up getting these today. http://www.michelinman.com/tire-selector/category/ultra-high-performance-sport/pilot-super-sport/tire-details

Great choice. A lot of the FRS/BRZ guys run them for more spirited and HPDE stuff. The only complaint I've heard, and mostly from Canadians, is that they're a bit cost prohibitive, but it seems like you 'Mericans get a far better deal than we do on tires.

Alex, Billy, cheers boys. Ended up finding a set of Hankook Ventus V2 concept2's for a fair price. Plus the 5 year warranty and 70000km warranty is a good deal.

From what I've read they seem like a perfect match for the FRS, mid performance tire for entry level sports cars, etc, etc. The RE11's got REALLY boring on my car, way too sticky and it took away from what the car is all about. I'm kicking myself for selling the OEM tires now though, I could have saved a ton of money if I held onto them.
