If you're talking about turn of the century 24" bikes for dirt jumping (and street, I guess) can't go past all the mountain bike companies. BMW Park Bike (and later ACL), DMR and all those small British companies you used to see in Dirt magazine.

Just ride it attitude is all good when you haven't forked out and waited for a custom frame. I've got a custom that has crooked as fuck break mounts. Sent it back, then got it back with brakes crooked as fuck in the other direction. Still, at least I could ride that brakeless. I was pissed, they were pissed. We both lost money and time. Sucks that both parties lose out but I did everything that was expected of me, paid punctually and waited (for several months longer than quoted). They fucked up by not controlling the quality of their product. It is their fuck up.
I don't get why people are defending the builder and having a go at the customer.

Get new pads and springs for your Evo 2's. If you absolutely have to get either of those two the Springfields are a better brake.

No more gonzo dicks with tripod.

That bike is a hot tranny. Sure, it is hot at first glance but then you start to notice is a little off, then way off. Hopefully before you're riding it.

If your country goes to shit (as many of you seem to think it will) and the exchange rate goes down think of how many of us antipodes will be flying over there for our working holidays in your dark, wet and genuinely depressing corner of the world. Just think, after a hard days underpaid work a British gentleman will go down to his local only to be greeted with "G'day moite, which wannnaya shit beers can oii get yah?"(Good evening sir, may I get you a beverage?) then get bullied about the latest English loss in cricket. The expression "choice as, bro" will eventually creep its way into the Queen's English. Think of the real cost Brits, think of the future. You will probably never see British hospitality staff again... Dark dreary days ahead for you guys. I suppose you'd be used to that though.

Finally got some pics. Ody/Joytech (grey) and Shadow/Chosen (black). They are really similar in size but the Odyssey is a little taller and has bigger bearings and pawls.

Both fit an Odyssey hub (didn't try the Odyssey driver in a Chosen type hub). Both fit the axle fine (same ID on bearings) but the Shadow pawls are still exposed when in the hub as far as it will.

Anybody know what stem that is?  It reminds me a lot of the old TNT stems and I think it looks cool.

It's a Free ZU V1 stem from Japan.

Edit, I posted a reply to a post a million pages back... So here's a bike I miss...  My BSD Too Loose that I more or less replaced with a Cult Trey Jones that I dig.

$560 AUD for the profile z coaster. Can't see it being that popular in Australia.

http://www.strictlybmx.com/product/view/6253/profile-z-coaster-female-freecoaster-hub

people will buy it

Doubt it will fly off shelves. Most of the guys into Profile stuff are park riders, not the street/tech guys. The price is high but when you look at the exchange rate for credit cards and add shipping it is still cheaper than the States.
