This is old but whatever, keep in mind longer crank arms will put more strain on your hips with your feet farther apart.

But is it really that surprising? Seems like 90% of the heckling kids do at skateparks involves calling each other faggots or saying how gay something is or was. I'd argue Matt isn't the first openly gay pro, definitly the most well known but not the first.

Edit: I mean even at the beginning of the show when the dude is goin on about what TJ should have said to the dog owner he calls the dude a cock sucker, no wonder people don't wanna come out.

One thing I've found technique wise is doing a quarter crank forward when I feel like I might to loop out. This gets your front foot low to the ground putting all your weight on the one foot will lower your center of gravity considerably and can often be the little bit that's needed to Lee you from looping out. I dunno might be all in my head but it's saved quite a bit, give it a try and see how it works for you.

I think frames with a 69 seat tube usually ran about 1/4" smaller than a 71 seat tube frame, 21.25" 69* frame had the same wheelbase but larger front end than 21" 71* frame.
It would only feel longer when you're sitting down though. The BB and HT would be in the same relative place on a 21" 71 degree frame as a 21.25" 69 degree frame. Remember how they sold the Tierra with measured and effective TT lengths listed? I always thought changing the ST angle was the dumbest thing.

The BB and HT thing is exactly what I said. But I'd way rather ride a 21.25 69* seattube than a 21" 71* seattube. The extra room up front is definitly noticeable, for me atleast, bar spins and tables feel better.

I'm curious why you'd be concerned about the front half of the wheel base? I've never thought about it much. The headtube angle and bottom bracket height differences I'd notice much more than the minimal difference in the distance between the bottom bracket and front axle. But I guess it's all relative. So half a degree on on the headtube would only be like 1/16" difference, right? haha I doubt that's anything you'd notice.
Edit: 1/16" is 1.5mm so maybe my guess is right haha

Fly southwest, 2 free checked bags means employees don't give a shit. I've even been called back to the baggage because they found out I had a bike and just wanted me to let the air out of the tires. If you're worried about paying for a bag go to a military surplus and buy a canvas bag. I can fit my bmx in one if I split my front end at the stem, pull my back wheel off and take my pedals off. Works good too because you can roll the bag up when you get where you're going and strap it too your backpack, pedal from the airport.

Get a decent 30ish degree sleeping bag.
A foam sleeping pad (the air ones always get leaks).
Hammock and straps.
A bivy sack.

Get a basket and put yer food in it and then strap your camping stuff on top or to the basket.
Oh, and if you can't make it on a fire you're cooking food that's too fancy.

Not so much your average tire, it's a dual compound tire with the center strip being a harder compound. And they are 2.4/2.2.

That's why one of the first things I said was "bike parts break"  I haven't compared odyssey cranks to cranks that are designed by the wemakethings guys, or anyone else for that matter anyways. I've just pointed out that odyssey cranks in the past have had a bad reputation in general, not compared to other companies. And quite frankly I couldnt care less about how good a warranty is. I'd rather not break my ankle when my cranks snap in the first place, so I will continue to invest in a new pair of cranks every year or so and avoid any gimmicky cranks.

I never bought this. Shops give themselves way too much credit for creating and nurturing scenes. It is like some fucked up guilt trip attempt to create brand loyalty.
Scenes can support shops but shops don't really support a scene. They can sell shit. That's what a retailer does. Sell shit well, compete well.

Harry Main is selling bikes direct to get kids into riding... 'Cos you know, that's a market that knows how to put a bike together from scratch. Skipping steps like retailers and wholesalers means you've got less to cover your ass when your cheap bike comes out of the box fucked.

While I agree with you about most shops, its not always the case. A shop can certainly give back,and a good one understands that not only are things about more than money, but building a scene is good for business.

Its an extreme example, but you cannot deny that Empire has built a scene.

You could add Goods in Portland to that list too. Anyone who thinks BMX shops don't help scenes is crazy. Shad has done a lot for the North West scene.
