I agree that updating your bars is going to make a bigger difference than anything. I went up to 8.25, which felt huge, then 8.75, then 9.75. The 9.75s are a smidge too big for my taste so I ended up using a lower rise stem. I'd put my preference right at 9-9.25.
As for the upsweep, I feel like shorter bars feel better with 4 deg up and bigger bars feel better with 1 deg up. Just my two cents.

I don't think so. My brother paid an extra hundred bucks to Dan's so that his STA had the Ox Platinum sticker on it. This was around 2000-2001 I think.

Where you turned down the "seatpost," is that intended as a breakaway point, or so that you can chop it and run a clamp later on, or is it just cool? At the very least, it's very cool.

I just discovered an ancient bikeshop in my hometown and they have a Wipperman without the masterlink sitting on the shelf. It seems like some of you guys had a hardon for these a while back. Anyone want me to pick it up for you?

Sunday. It's been ridden a little bit, but it's clean. I kept it at my inlaws house so I could ride when I visit there, but it just isn't worth keeping it around to me. No pegs, no grinding. All original with the exception of Kool-Stop salmon pads.
$650 obo plus shipping.

I did end up getting the Sunday Gary Young Special, I'm really happy with it.

nice! Post up some pics of it, or better yet, some riding shots. If you are nervous about being out of practice, don't stress it. There are like 3 people that visit BG.

slicks are fine, its coloureds that are dangerous, they go glossy and dont grip as well as black tyres

Agreed. I've got a set of colored BSDs that are practically plastic.
