Here's some pictures from Kurts coverage of Interbike this year.

Looks like the set screws on the pawl ramp piece tighten down on the bushing giving it some friction on the axle.  The pawls look like they get restricted down into the hub with a traditional pawl clip.

As long as there's more friction there at the "ramps" than the clip puts on the pawls, then everything will function fine.

The pawl ramps look like they function identical to the way the Eastern/Ezra hub works, in that as the pawls move forward they slide up on ramps on a washer next to them pushing them up to engage the ratchet ring.

The big difference between this and the Eastern, though is that the Blind has a totally different ratchet ring that has it's teeth spaced out a lot more to allow more slack at times.  Makes me wonder though, if the slack stays consistent all the time?

I'm actually pretty impressed that it stood up to Blue for 5 years.

Wow, that's a total bummer.

Probably realized that bmx frames don't have very large margins and they can make way more money on big bikes and motorcycle work.

Ah, maybe not enough room for it to pull as much as you want?  I could see that with the Elementary taking up more room on the steerer tube.

Did you try running the gyro center plate to where it sits all the way down on the frames gyro tabs?

An Elementary would look sick on this bike!

I love everything about it but the Challenger stem.  For some reason I feel like challengers just don't look good with bikes with gyros.

I think it would look killer with a standard stem or an old DK jumping topload stem for some reason.

Still, your bike is awesome, and I'm just weird and stupid.

Is that an old TNT stem on the GB-arcode?

It is. Recently salvaged from the bottom of a friends toolbox.

F U.  I hate you.

Seriously.

That looks pretty awesome.

I've emailed 2 different places that do media blasting here in Raleigh and neither of them have responded...  I'm going to try some other places and see what I can come up with.

Will keep you guys posted.

Why's it rusted up already?  Did you leave it outside in the rain or something?

I'm about to purchase a keychain for one of my bikes to test it out and see how it works I think.

What did it look like after you got your stuff media blasted.

At this point with how much I work, I'd totally be will to drop my stuff off somewhere and pay 20 bucks to have it done.

Wow, what did you use to polish it?  That's a mirror like finish.

I want to raw it. I might polish it after I raw it depending on how dark it is.

If it won't come off with stripper, and I have to use sandpaper,  then I'll probably polish it up a bit.
