I just won a fly right hand crank arm and spindle on ebay for 99p

If the guy actually sends it out I'll be able to run my fly cranks again.

I don't know how I keep winning stuff so fucking cheap, it's incredible.

On the topic of rawing parts...

How would I go about rawing the springfield brakes?

I assume the spring will need to come out, is that possible.

What else do I need to do before dipping these brakes in a load of chemicals? Or even if I should?

Spring unhooks easily.

Avoid getting stuff on the pivot area, it will get in the crack between brass bush and arm and spoil the fit.

The arms are die-cast like a pedal body so you may not be able to achieve a good finish without a lot of polishing.

:)

Cheers G,

I'm finally over ruining my shoes but I hate setting up and fiddling with brakes so they seem like the perfect option.

I'm just waiting on getting a new frame from Zoidy and some time to ride the bike to try them out.

Went for a ride yesterday on my awkward setup it was fun but hats off to those who praise the long ass rear ends. I couldn't get into a manual comfortably and Icepicks weren't even in the equation. When I move I'll be able to build up a proper feeling bike.

Obviously it's personal preference and all that but if I remember correctly you change your bike an awful lot?*

If you stuck with it for a couple of sessions you'd probably just get used to it, the same with any other bike.

*no hate here, I used to change frames all the time

You can use a King headset with an integrated race. Apparently it is the wrong angle but my friend does it with no trouble and has done since I've known him.

I don't know how you guys remember all this stuff.

I went through a stage of swapping frames with people all the time, I must have had 20 frames in the last 5 years.

I know you're communicating in English but I don't know what you're trying to say.

The watch. It's really funny and also really fucking disgusting. "Minging" means disgusting in Engerrrlarrrnd.

New stem. Need some Ti bolts for it.

Is that the army green version? I can't tell. My S4 is cracked to fuck, I might replace it with one of these when I can get to my bike.

I've been watching the ruben and trying not to bid. There is 10 minutes left and it is killing me because I loved my old ruben but I don't even ride my standard at the moment so I can't really justify putting down a bill on something I don't need.
