And me and my roommates went to the store in it and I was super stoked chase that was my first car
"let me drive it"
"okay"
"maybe I should crash it so il have to buy it and it'll be mine"
maybe 20seconds pass by and i zip it two blocks and the tranny blows out
it was a sweet little sports car so i jam it up to like 20mph to shift to 2nd instead of 10/15mph like one would normally do in a minivan on the way to work
now he's really upset and said some mean things to me and I'm very upset :(
he's sure its my fault since it has a clean work record and completely ignored me everytime i said id make sure everything would be alright and wed work this out
but really 525 dollar car and it blows up at 2500rpm...
owner of the car was on the couch while me and other roommates went to the store with the car
"why would you let him drive, he drives like an asshole"

Blowing up at 2,500rpm = not your fault, your mates are either a bit thick or shifting the blame for not test driving it

it had just been in an accident which appeared to have only damaged the passenger door, but probably knocked some vital engine part out of alignment.
threw a rod through the oilpan.
more like 4-5000 rpm, i took it to about 20mph before i shifted it. still far below redline.
metal bob was all like "what happened, forgot there was a 2nd gear?"

So when you wrote, admitting to us, that you drive like an asshole; that was really the truth. First 2500 now 5000. Was it really 7500?

uneducated guestamite. my truck doesnt have a tachometer but i know a sports coupe should be able to make it to 20mph in first gear

This is true. Hell my truck can do 20 in first a sports car should've able to handle it as well I would imagine?

You can dog out first in an automatic but I'm sure the ratios are different in manual's..
