where you jam your tires sideways into the pavement to slow down
do think theyll also do a number on your spokes and take your wheel out of tru?
fuck sometimes theyll jar the fuck out my elbows/wrist

if your spokes are already fucked i guess it could snap some, but so can many bicycle stunts

Not once you have G-sport rims, they're like a b force field of bad ass.

It's probably less force than, say, landing weird on a hop 180.

I hate those things, some people do them way too much. I'd rather squeeze a lever with my finger..

You mean there's a device where you can stop a bicycle with a finger operated lever?

Nah man i call bullshit.

they put nowhere near as much stress on your wheel/spokes than any awkward 180s. sometimes gliding out a long one feels amazing too.

I once heard of a guy who used such a mechanism. Seems far fetched.

so i did a sloppy 360 (270) to flat while going really fast and tore a 2in gash across the bead of my front tire, a 2.25microknobbie on a super narrow racing rim.
should i not run wide tires on narrow rims?

You shouldn't run racing tires and racing rims if you're going to be doing 360s while going really fast.

Did anyone see that Chris Doyle thing on Dig were he calls the skid the crab walk? I can't wait to bite that and use it on some nerd at the skatepark.
